Reunited once more, Ibushi and Omega have an interesting wrinkle ahead with their dream match

Reunited with his Golden Lover, Ibushi undoubtedly now seems set to finally make it fulltime with New Japan. If that is the case, it's interesting that New Japan is willing to have his first-time collision against Omega in a G1 tournament match.

Granted the tournament is a vaunted competition, but with Omega holding onto the title and Ibushi likely a top-tier competitor; a win for Ibushi makes the most sense, adding another match to their repertoire just before Wrestle Kingdom.

It thus seems doubtful the two Golden Lovers will square off at Wrestle Kingdom 13 unless Omega loses the title later on, which is a possibility. If that's the case, a quick trilogy seems like an odd decision. Regardless Ibushi's bound to have a dream run towards a new future with New Japan.

Best Possible Match: vs. Kenny Omega, Night 18

Is there anything left to say about this? Except that Ibushi and Omega are at this point two of the greatest wrestlers in the world and this dream match unlike others this year is most likely to live up to expectations. Whether as a trilogy or a one-off, this is undoubtedly the match of the tournament.
