Honor Reigns Supreme was held on January 13, 2019, at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center in Concord, North Carolina. In the first ROH live show of the year, we saw very interesting matches and the start of many feuds that could grow on the way to G1 Supercard in April, the historic pay per view that will be held by ROH and NJPW a day before WrestleMania 35 at Madison Square Garden.

On this occasion, two of the company's five titles were in dispute. Kelly Klein successfully defended the ROH Women of Honor World Championship after defeating Jenny Rose in a Street Fight match. We also saw the eleventh successful defense of Jay Lethal as ROH World Champion after defeating former world champion Dalton Castle.

But undoubtedly the most important thing was the debut of Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll, Brody King & PCO) in a ROH live show. 'The Villain' has formed a new faction after the departure of his former colleagues from the Bullet Club to a new adventure called All Elite Wrestling. The goal of the British talent is to get the ROH World Championship this year.

In a show of this magnitude, almost all the matches were up to the circumstances, but only a few will be remembered over the months. Here are the three best matches of Honor Reigns Supreme 2019.

#3 Kelly Klein vs. Jenny Rose

In the eighth match of the night, we saw the victory of Kelly Klein on Jenny Rose in a Street Fight match. 'The Gatekeeper' managed to retain the ROH Women of Honor World Championship in an extreme match that lasted 12 minutes and 33 seconds.

The booking of the women's division of ROH in 2018 had been of very poor quality and the matches had little significance. However, this match could be the beginning of a new era in Women of Honor. Both wrestlers showed their most extreme side and offered an exciting match to all the spectators.

The match had two extremely shocking moments. The first was when Kelly Klein, with Jenny Rose climbing on her back, threw herself towards a table at ringside. The second was a Superplex by Rose that ended with Klein's spectacular fall on many chairs.

Finally, Klein got the victory after applying the K-Power on Rose, who after this fall on chairs received the pin. Without a doubt, it was one of the best matches in the history of Women of Honor.

#2 Jay Lethal vs. Dalton Castle

In the main event of the show, Jay Lethal defeated Dalton Castle and retained the ROH World Championship. This was the eleventh successful title defense for Lethal, who won the title for the second time in June 2018 and has been holding the most important title of the company in his possession for more than 200 days.

The aim of Dalton Castle was to recover the title he had lost in a Four Corner Survival match in which Cody and Matt Taven also participated. Castle showed the best of his arsenal with the German Suplex and Pumphandle Suplex. In addition, he also punished his opponent with a Running High Knee.

The key to victory for Lethal was the speed of his movements. Thanks to this he could attack Castle with a cutter at ringside, as well as surprise him with a Turnbuckle Bomb.

On the end, Castle reversed a Lethal Injection and was about to take the victory, but Lethal re-executed his finisher and won the match, which lasted a total of 16 minutes and 9 seconds.

#1 Villain Enterprises vs. Silas Young & The Briscoes

The best match of the show was a Six Man Tag team match: Villain Enterprises (Marty Scurll, Brody King & PCO) versus Silas Young & The Briscoes (Jay Briscoe & Mark Briscoe). The victory belonged to the faction led by 'The Villain', which made its debut in a ROH live show. The duration of this match (17 minutes and 8 seconds) allowed the spectators to enjoy the best moves of the six wrestlers, as well as the joint maneuvers between them.

Without a doubt, the great protagonist was PCO. The veteran Quebecois wrestler was thrown backwards by Mark Briscoe over the edge of the ring. That movement shook the public. But that was not all. PCO then received in the same area of the ring a Canadian Destroyer by Silas Young. The head of PCO received a great impact but he continued the match.

Villain Enterprises came close to winning after a Sharpshooter by Scurll on Jay Briscoe followed by a Diving Leg Drop by PCO. Finally, the victory came after a Moonsault by PCO on Mark Briscoe.

As I said earlier, the goal of this new faction is for Marty Scurll to win the ROH World Championship. However, it’s very likely that we will see Villain Enterprises as contenders for the ROH World Six Tag Team Championship currently held by The Kingdom (Matt Taven, TK O'Ryan & Vinny Marseglia).
