Awesome Kong made her debut in 2002 fighting for various Japanese promotions, winning various singles and tag team titles. She debuted for Impact Wrestling on 11th October 2007 and caught everyone's attention with her intimidating presence. She had an amazing feud with Gail Kim for the Knockouts Championship and won her first Knockouts Championship by defeating Kim with the help of her manager Raisha Saeed.

She then started a $25,000 challenge to females in the audience who wanted to challenge her for the Knockouts Championship. Most of the audience members failed to defeat her but one challenger named Taylor Wilde was able to defeat Kong after numerous attempts and won $25,000 along with the Knockouts Championship. Kong regained her championship from Wilde making her a 2-time Knockout Champion. She went on to win the Knockouts Tag Team Championship along with Saeed.
Kong under the name of Kharma debuted for WWE on 1 May 2011 at Extreme Rules, attacking Michelle McCool but her time at WWE was cut short as, after a few weeks, she revealed that she was pregnant and thus forced to take a leave of absence from WWE.
She made a shocking return at the 2012 Royal Rumble forcing Michael Cole to eliminate himself and also eliminated Hunico before being eliminated by Dolph Ziggler. She was then granted her release from the company because she was not ready to return in the time they allotted her.
