Despite criticisms that two former WWE stars were main eventing an AEW PPV in year one, they made this work with a great story.

Sure, the work-rate wasn't at the same level as some of the other young performers on the roster, but given how great these men are with working a crowd, they made it work and had a huge, shocking finish. With Rhodes trapped in a brutal Walls of Jericho, his cornerman MJF threw in the towel, before turning on him after the bout, and that was just another phase of an incredible contest that proves these are two of the best performers on the planet.
