The People's Champion, Rock had won the WWE Championship by defeating CM Punk at Royal Rumble 2013

The Rock left WWE in 2004 because his contract had expired and his acting career had already started. He later appeared for a brief program with John Cena in 2011 and 2012, later on Wrestlemania 32 in 2016 and his last appearance was at the debut of Friday Night Smackdown on Fox back in 2019.

The WWE Universe has been very excited about his return for a long time. His long awaited return will be one of the many reasons this feud will be a blockbuster.
