It is always great to have a life partner with similar taste, but it's even better if you and your significant other work in the same place. There are a lot of such examples in the world of professional wrestling, some obvious and on screen like Rusev and Lana while some others like to keep their personal life private and off the screen.
In some cases, both wrestlers are in the same company and some work for different brands. There are cases where storylines lead to real life break-ups, for example what happened between Matt Hardy, Edge And Lita. Lita was with Hardy in real life and Edge became her storyline boyfriend but this eventually happened in real life leaving Matt heartbroken (no pun intended). A similar case could have happened with the Rusev, Lana, Dolph Ziggler and Summer Rae storyline where Lana began dating Dolph while Rusev was with Summer Rae. A few weeks later Rusev and Lana tied the knot and the company decided to ditch the storyline.
Some of the couples in wrestling end up splitting from each other while some have been together for a while, like Daniel Bryan & Brie Bella and Jimmy Uso & Naomi. So, without further ado we present you three wrestling couples you might not know.
#1. Aleister Black And Zelina Vega
Aleister Black (known as Tommy End before his time in WWE) has an undeniable presence every time he steps into the ring. With a background in martial arts, his striking fighting style is well appreciated by fans all around the world. He recently made his main roster debut on RAW and Smackdown, where he competed against Andrade who is being managed by Black's wife, Zelina Vega. The couple has kept their relationship hidden but recently, Black posted a pic holding Zelina's hands on his Instagram account.
#2. Tye Dillinger And Peyton Royce
The Perfect 10, Tye Dillinger became a fan favourite during his time in NXT. Although he lost most of his matches, his Perfect 10 gimmick got the attention of the fans as they chanted "10" whenever Dillinger approached the ring. WWE tried to capitalise on this and made Tye Dillinger come out at no.10 in the 2017 Royal Rumble. He then moved to Smackdown where he has not been able to make any significant impact due to bad booking. There have been rumours that Tye Dillinger has asked for his release.
On the other hand, Peyton Royce debuted as one half of the Iconics alongside Billie Kay. They were booked as irritable villains who made fun of their opponents. They soon moved to Smackdown and recently competed in the Elimination Chamber match for the Women's Tag Team championship.
These two have been in a relationship for a long time and kept it away from their professional career, only recently making their relationship public.
#3. Killian Dain And Nikki Cross
Nikki Cross debuted as a member of a stable named Sanity alongside Alexander Wolfe, Sawyer Fulton and Eric Young on October 2016. After an injury, Fulton was replaced by Killian Dain on January 2017. The stable was quite successful on NXT and won the NXT Tag Team championship against Authors Of Pain but their main roster bookings (Cross is currently awaiting main roster brand assignment) have been terrible so far. With the amazing skills of Young and the crazy combination of speed and power of Dain, it is sad that Sanity are being booked like jobbers.
The relationship between Killian Dain and Nikki Cross came to the notice of the fans when they got married on January 2019. From stablemates to soulmates!
