What's the story?
In a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, WWE superstar Big Show talked about the possibility of working on the Independent Wrestling scene in the near future.
The former WCW World Champion also said that his current goal is to help the next generation of superstars in the WWE. However, he did confirm that a Indy run in the future could be on the cards.
In case you didn't know...
Big Show is currently working with the WWE on a much more lighter schedule due to his health issues. The veteran has been making one-off appearances in the WWE throughout 2017 and has also been seen in a rivalry against Braun Strowman.
The former Intercontinental Champion also competed in a match against Big Cass at this year's Summerslam pay-per-view. But the clash unfortunately ended up in a losing effort for the experienced campaigner.
Big Show's last TV appearance came during September in a steel-cage match against Strowman on Raw. In a post-match assault, he was thrown through the cage by 'The Monster Among Men'. It is understood that this angle was done by WWE in order to write him off television as the former Tag Team Champion required hip surgery.
The heart of the matter
Big Show also said that he remains a massive fan of Cody Rhodes and the ideas that were brought to the table by the former WWE Intercontinental Champion. He expressed happiness regarding Rhodes' success outside of WWE.

The 45-year-old added that he is not as talented as former WWE star. He insisted that Rhodes was one of the most underrated and underused talents that WWE let go.
What's next?
Following a successful hip surgery, Big Show is currently training in the gym as he prepares to make a comeback to the WWE ring in the future.
Author's take
One feels that Big Show's career is destined to end in the WWE. As such, there are very little chances of seeing the seven foot tall giant on the Independent scene.
