What’s the story?
WWE Smackdown Live superstar Tye Dillinger has recently received some heavy criticism from wrestling fans for watching NJPW’s Wrestle Kingdom 12 event. However, earlier today, Dillinger decided to respond to all those fans and critics via his official Twitter handle.
In case you didn’t know…
During last week’s Wrestle Kingdom 12 event, WWE superstar Tye Dillinger posted multiple tweets on his Twitter feed regarding this year’s Tokyo Dome show and “The Perfect 10” was tweeting live during the WK 12 event.
Dillinger about most of the Wrestle Kingdom 12 matches and also praised the likes of Hiroshi Tanahashi, Jushin Thunder Liger, Minoru Suzuki, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega and more.
The heart of the matter
Dillinger stated on his official Twitter handle that wrestling fans these days take the whole “other company” thing way too seriously and instead they should just enjoy wrestling as a whole and should enjoy watching the sport in overall.
“The Perfect 10” further claimed that many WWE superstars are still friends with NJPW stars because they all share the same goal and both the WWE and New Japan stars have a tremendous love for this business. One of Tye’s tweets also read that he has got two words for the people who got mad at him for tweeting live about the Wrestle Kingdom 12.
What’s next?
As for Tye Dillinger, he is currently working under the blue brand of the WWE that is Smackdown Live, where he has been underutilized for a while now. But, let’s hope that the WWE creative realizes how talented Dillinger is inside the squared circle and finally give him a solid and proper push. The WWE officials have also recently teased a heel turn for Tye Dillinger at recent house shows and it looks like a sign of things to come for “The Perfect 10”.
Author’s Take
I think Dillinger being criticized for watching another wrestling promotion is completely stupid on behalf of the fans. As wrestling fans, we all should enjoy wrestling as a sport and should always support this business and every promotion around the world, starting from the small Indy promotions to the Global companies.
