In the end, the Army Red proved to be good for the Bombay Gym and finished the tournament by defeating them 17-5 in the final and left the All India and South Asia Division One title that was being played at the Bombay Gymkhana on Sunday.
Right from the opening match, the Army Red seemed to be in top form right throughout the tournament, starting off with a demolition of the Bhubaneshwar RFC by a 72-0 margin and then clinching yet another convincing win over the Maharashtra State Police in the first semifinal by 58-3.

The Bombay Gym also had a good tournament, wherein they beat the Young RFC 70-0 to eventually move into the final. The Plate final, which was held before the main final saw a tightly-contested match but it was the Jungle Crows who came out trumps, defeating the CCFC 34-27.
All-in-all it was an exciting 7 days of action that one witnessed in the tournament and here’s hoping for more in the upcoming days.
