BOSTON, Massachusetts (AFP) –
Lelisa Desisa of Ethiopia won the Boston Marathon men’s title on Monday in an unofficial time of 2 hours, 10 minutes and 22 seconds.
Kenya’s Micah Kogo was second and Gebregziabher Gebremariam of Ethiopia was third.
Kenya’s Rita Jeptoo won the women’s title in an unofficial time of 2 hours 26 minutes, 25 seconds.
Jeptoo claimed her second Boston title, after winning here in 2006.
Meseret Hailu of Ethiopia was second, holding off 2012 winner Sharon Cherop of Kenya who settled for third.
