Guwahati, September 22, 2015: Guwahati is all set for the first edition of the SBI Pinkathon - Empowering Indian Women powered by Women’s Horlicks. As a precursor to the main day, Pinkathon conducted another unique initiative led by Milind Soman. Founder member Soman has successfully completed the Guwahati – Shillong run, which includes running almost 100 KM and climbing 5200 ft on September 18th, 2015.
The run started at 4.30 am at Guwahati, concluding at 9:30 pm on the same day. The squad of cyclists including Rakesh Para, the Pinkathon Ambassadors and Urmi Baruah, Mansi Gogoi, Ribhu Ranjan, Prasun Choudhary, a runner from OYO rooms, also joined the run. Gerald Pde and his team of runners from Shillong joined Milind at Umdhihar.
Pinkathon in Guwahati has received a huge response from sponsors like State Bank of India and Nits Mirza, who have extended their full-fledged support.
SBI Pinkathon - Empowering Indian Women powered by Women’s Horlicks, India’s biggest women’s run, will be held in Guwahati on September 27, 2015 at the Sonaram High School. Over 3000 women from the city are expected to paint the town pink on this special day.
