Nike Free Staircase Run and Nike+ Runners' Meet see tremendous participation from running enthusiasts

Nike+ Run Club today hosted the first ever unique Nike Free Staircase Run in India at the amphitheatre, UB City. This unique Staircase Run witnessed a fantastic turnout of close to 300 runners from the city. Nike+ Run Club coaches Reeth Abraham and Sir Kothandipani conducted a 1,500-step exclusive workout session to prepare runners for the TCS World 10K 2014 Bangalore.

The session was followed by the TCS World 10K Nike+ Runners’ Meet at the Nike Brigade Road Store where the city’s thriving running community got together to get training insights for the upcoming World 10K. Present at the Runners’ Meet was Daniel Vaz – Head Coach, Nike+ Run Club who shared essential running tips with the runners.

Nike today announced a grand reward for the top male and female runner who are in the age group 15-24 years and participating in the open 10K category of the TCS World 10K Bangalore 2014.The fastest male and female runner in this age group will win an opportunity from Nike to run at an epic international location alongside runners from all across the world.

The ‘race day tee’ designed by Nike will be available for runners to buy and is priced at Rs.795/. This limited edition tee bearing the words ‘RUN BANGALORE’ and a prominent gold ‘Swoosh’ also has a localised inspirational write up by the runners from the city on the back of the tee.
