Regassa, Jalagat win Rotterdam Marathon

The Hague - Ethiopian Tilahun Regassa and Kenyan Jemina Jalagat won the men’s and the women’s titles, respectively, at the 33rd edition of the Rotterdam Marathon Sunday.

Regassa finished the race in 2:05.38 and his compatriot Getu Feleke ended second (2:06:46). Sammy Kitwara from Kenya was third (2:07:22), reports Xinhua.

Last year the men’s title was also won by an Ethiopian athlete, Yemane Adhane in 2:04:48.

Jalagat claimed the women’s title in 2:23:27. She finished ahead of Abefech Afework from Ethiopia (2:23:59) and Hilda Kibet from the Netherlands (2:26:42).
