Results from the Chennai Dream Runners Half Marathon

The Dream Runners Half Marathon, begun by a group of running enthusiast friends in 2012, concluded its fourth edition in the Southern Indian capital yesterday.

The marathon saw participation across a large range of age groups, from 18-year-olds to 68-year-olds running the course. There were two distance options for runners – the half-marathon and the 10k run.

Bengaluru’s Soji Mathew took the overall title, finishing the half-marathon in a time of 1:12:11. The 33-year-old was 6 seconds ahead of 2nd place winner, 28-year-old local lad Jegadheesan M.

The top 5 overall athletes were a mixed bag as far as age goes, the youngest 18 and the oldest nearly 50.
