However, notable absences will be felt, as none of India’s three Olympic shooting medallists will be in action due to their respective decisions to opt out of the tournament. Let’s take a look at the three Indian Olympians who will not be competing at the ISSF Shooting World Cup Final 2024.
#1 Manu Bhaker
Manu Bhaker made headlines during the Paris Olympics 2024 by clinching two bronze medals, making her the first and only female Indian shooter to win an Olympic medal and the first Indian since independence to secure multiple medals at a single Olympic Games.
She has opted out of the ISSF Shooting World Cup Final as part of a three-month break that began in August to rest and recover from the competitive season.
#2 Swapnil Kusale
Swapnil Kusale also achieved a significant milestone at the Paris Olympics 2024, winning a bronze medal in the men’s 50m rifle three positions event. With this victory, he became the first Indian to win an Olympic medal in this discipline.
Kusale has chosen to skip the ISSF Shooting World Cup Final, prioritizing his training and recovery.
#3 Sarabjot Singh
Sarabjot Singh added to India's medal tally by winning a bronze medal alongside Manu Bhaker in the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event at the Paris Olympics 2024. Like his compatriots, Singh has also decided to opt out of the ISSF Shooting World Cup Final to focus on his preparation for upcoming competitions.
