India’s ace shooter, Gagan Narang, was rewarded for his brilliant form this season when he reached a career best ranking of world No. 2 in the 10m Air Rifle category in the latest world ranking released by ISSF.

Narang , who has been in brilliant form for some time has been constantly going up the ladder in the world rankings . He is one of the best shooters in the country which has been producing good marksmen in recent years . Along with him , india boasts of a quality shooting contingent in the form of Abhinav Bindra , Manavjit singh Sandhu , Rathore and many more .
Gagan who has been consistently shooting top scores in all the world cup events, jumped two places, and has stamped his position as one of the best bets for India for glory in the Commonwealth and Asian games later this year.
However , before squaring off against the top shooters in the Commonwealth Games , Gagan would be participating in the World championship scheduled for August 2010 in Munich .
