Aleksi Leppa of Finland claimed the first Gold of his shooting career at Changwon, Korea. Olsson of Sweden claimed the silver from Brekne of Norway with a higher percentage of 21 shots in the inner circle compared to 13 from the Norwegian after their scores tied at 576.

26-year-old Lisa Mueller of Germany won the Gold in 300m Rifle 3 positions event after aggregating 37 shots in the inner ring compared to her countrymate Beer who had 33. Both shooters created a new world record with their effort of 1161.
