The 49-year-old veteran from Brazil, Julio Almeida pocketed his first Gold medal in the World Championship in the 25m Center Fire Pistol for Men. Christian Reitz who is the 25m Rapid Fire Pistol Olympic Champion claimed the Silver while Korostylov of Ukraine took the Bronze.

None of the individual medalists were able to help their team to the podium as South Korea clinch the Gold in Team event. India finished in 4th place.

Om Prakash of India secured the Gold with an impressive shooting display in the final series to dislodge Damir Mikec of Serbia and Lee of Korea. India's Golden boy Jitu Rai was unable to find his form and finished in 17th place.
