The ISSF World Cup for Rifle , Pistol and Shot Gun events will take place in London between 19th and 28th of April. With respect to the current rankings only two Indian shooters find a place in the top-10 charts. Gagan Narang in the 10m Air Rifle discipline and Vijay Kumar in 25m Rapid Fire Pistol.

The ISSF World Cup Series is organized every year in four stages. This event in London is the World Cup Series Final which takes place once a year. The venue for the competition is the Royal Artillery Barracks , Woolwich is the same location as for the Olympics and would thus serve as a trial for both shooters and the organizers.

The ISSF General Assembly in London drafted new rules and a set of competition format on Pistol , Rifle and ShotGun Finals. According to the executive committee and Council , the elimination system (for pistol and rifle) and the duel system (for shotgun shooting) will be introduced for the Finals.
