Reigning world slalom champion Frenchman Jean-Baptiste Grange announced Monday he was delaying his return to competition originally scheduled for Val D’Isere on December 9.

Grange is slowly recovering after undergoing an operation on his right knee at the end of March, two years after first having surgery.

“I don’t feel 100% ready, even if things are progressing in the right direction, unfortunately Val d’Isere comes a little bit too quick for me,” he reported.

Grange has now set his sights on returning either at Madonna di Campiglia in Italy on Decembert 18 or more probably on January 6 in Zagreb
