American Lindsey Vonn won the women's Super-G to claim a record 63rd World Cup victory at the Cortina d'Ampezzo. The American speed queen finished in one minute and 27.03 seconds which was 0.85 seconds ahead of Austria's Anna Fenninge Monday, reports Xinhua. Tina Weirather of Liechtenstein was third with 0.92 seconds back.
The previous record was established by Austrian legend Annemarie Moser-Proell between 1970 and 1980.
It was Vonn's ninth career win in Cortina, where she had first climbed a World Cup podium 11 years ago. It was also Vonn's first victory in super-G this season and her fourth overall this campaign.
"It's a piste that I like a lot. I got my first podium here in the World Cup and I have a really good understanding of the hill," said the 30-year-old.
