10 WWE stars who look younger than they actually are

WWE, as Vince McMahon will put it, is not a sport. It’s sports entertainment. The performers are not just athletes, they are sports entertainers. But no matter how much we try to make the sport part seem irrelevant, it is still in its essentiality a sport, given that these performers do put their bodies on the line. Even though the result is predetermined, wrestling is still a competition and it requires an immense amount of physical movement. Every full-time wrestler is, more or less, just like any sportsmen/women have a short time frame of career. But there are some wrestlers whose appearance defy their actual age. Here are 10 wrestlers who look younger that they actually are.

#10 Finn Balor

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

The Irishman has been in the WWE for the past six months. For a performer who entered the company a mere six months back, he’s made quite a lasting impact on NXT. He’s also, apparently being paid so much that the higher ups have decided to put him in the main roster to validate that much pay.

He has some tremendous screen presence and one would think that he’s in his mid to late twenties, but Balor is actually 33 years old. Yes, he’s as old as Daniel Bryan.

Anyway, the kind of leaps he’s making as the face painted demon surely signals towards a great career.

#9 AJ Lee

AJ Lee has left a big void to be filled in the womens division by retiring from the WWE a couple of weeks ago.

Taking a look back at the beginning of her main roster career, it was easy to see her as a youngster because of her chirpy personality. So much so, that when she was having her issues with a heel Daniel Bryan, Michael Cole called her a teenager when she was actually 25 years old.

She retired when she was 28 years old. Way too early for someone who was in the peak of their career.

#8 Booker T

Booker T is one Hall of Famer who looks like he’s still in great shape to wrestle a great match. He even got involved in a feud against heel Cody Rhodes a few years back. And if you really see 2001 Booker T to 2015 Booker T, there isn’t much of a difference other than the fact that he wears glasses.

He’s 50 years old just by the way. Yet he doesn’t look a day older from the time he debuted in the World Wrestling Federation.

#7 Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler has played many roles since he came to the WWE.He’s been a cheerleader, he been a lackey to Chavo Guerrero. He’s been a heel who blatantly called himself a heel. He made Hashtag heel quite a prominent tagline. He has played and still is the showoff. Right now, he’s perfecting the art of being fabulous, flamboyant and showing it off despite being an underdog.

Dolpg Ziggler will turn 35 this year and yet over the past few years he has remained ageless.

#6 Rey Mysterio

Rey-Mysterio.jpg (642361)

Technically, we haven’t seen Mysterio’s face for all of his WWE career. He’s one of the most recognisable masked icons that the WWE has ever had. He debuted at a time when the theRuthless Aggression was rampant. His size, athleticism and speed made him look like the most exciting superstar to follow.

Many speculated that he was a teenager. After all, he had the energy of a teenager. But he was 28 years old when he debuted. Over the years, he sure became slower and injury prone but still managed to created a solid casual fanbase.

But if look at him then or now, he surely seems younger than he is, which is 40 years old.

#5 Shane McMahon

Here comes another superstar who has left the WWE but his influence still remains.Shane McMahon, just like his father and sister, has tremendous screen presence and he plays his role convincingly. He’s never boasted of a solid training in wrestling but despite that he’s taken some major bumps in his career. By major, I mean, catastrophic. He jumped off heights that few superstars have performed in the WWE. He’s just that good at free-falling.

And who can forget the coast- to- coast?

He was already in his late twenties when he essayed his on-screen character besides his father. But his attitude made him look like someone in his early twenties.

He is 45 years old now, but taking his last coast to coast into account, he’s grown some grey hair, which was all to be seen when he made a momentous return to the WWE to set up a match against the Undertaker at WrestleMania 32.

#4 R- Truth

r-truth.jpg (642361)

R- Truth, just like some on this list, it seems, stopped ageing after a while. He looks the same as he did when he first stepped foot into the WWE. It was surprising to see someone of his athleticism, pulling off moves when he’s 43 years old. Not many 43-year-old in the WWE can pull off a full split convincingly. His sense of humor or rather his comic timing is like wine, which has gotten better with age.

He’s, again, another superstar who’s remained ageless despite his long journey in the wrestling business.

#3 Christian

Christian for the most part of his career in WWE right now is battling with either injuries or lack of creative direction. He is 41 years old and still signed with the WWE. He hasn’t retired but has only made momentary appearances with his best friend and teammate Edge.

The Canadian has looked the same and wrestled the same way since his early days in the WWE to the switch to TNa to returning back to the WWE. The only difference is that he’s cut his hair short.

He’s one of the few wrestlers who can wrestle when given the storyline and time, looking like they never really lost it.

#2 Goldust

Talking about being someone who’s still got it, Goldust surprised many by having a resurgence to his wrestling career. He was a trainer but then got involved with the storyline against The Authority, in the early stages of its formation and produced quality matches against the likes of Randy Orton.

He impressed so much that he was then put into the tag division with his brother Cody and they impressed yet again having one of the best storylines involving their father and these two brothers against The Authority and The Shield.

At 46 years of age, his face paint is still awesome and he wrestles better than he did ever before.

#1 Vince McMahon

You may call him a billionaire or The Boss and he may call himself a meathead, but few people who are almost 70 posses the energy that McMahon does. I mean, he’ll even take an F-5 to get a reaction and make things better for business. He even wrestled a matchagainst CM Punk in the main event of Raw, on free television!

He is going to turn 70 this year and he does not look like he has aged that much. His energy, his spirit is still invincible.
