Hell in a Cell hasn’t received the best attention from the WWE. For starters, Kane wasn’t on WWE Raw for the go-home show. He’s the number-one contender, but the WWE decided not to have him on the show.Second, Nikki Bella and Charlotte wasn’t hyped on the program. The Divas Revolution is supposed to be in full-swing, but it was barely promoted on their flagship station. Lastly, the WWE is having two Hell in a Cell matches. Brock Lesnar is slated to take on the Undertaker. Roman Reigns will do battle with Bray Wyatt. Both duos will have their final match together.Jim Ross, WWE legend, commented on having two matches in a cell on a pay-per-view that’s named Hell in a Cell. “Why is it necessary for WWE to have two Hell in a Cell matches this Sunday in LA? The PG product has almost evolved away from HIAC matches to start with and having two on the same show lessens what the Taker vs. Lesnar HIAC match can or cannot do in the main event. Bottom line is that HIAC isn’t a PG entity or at least that’s my take on it. Neither is the Elimination Chamber. The event in LA is sold out.”Since Hell in a Cell is a less-important show, the WWE needs to bring out surprises. Here are five bold predictions for Hell in a Cell:
#1 Dean Ambrose turns Heel
Dean Ambrose has been on the main roster for three years. He has yet to win the WWE World Heavyweight championship. Ambrose is a former-United States champion, but thats the extent of his accolades. Ambrose is arguably the best overall wrestler on the roster, but the WWE hasnt put the strap on the Lunatic Fringe. Its about time they should. When Roman Reigns faces off against Bray Wyatt at Hell in a Cell, Ambrose needs to turn heel and cost Reigns the match.
This will gives Ambrose the catapult to the top he desparately needs, which will end in a WWE championship around his waist. When Ambrose was a heel on the Independent circuit, he displayed a character that was never-before seen. His mannerisms were unmatched and the personality he displayed created a legend in the Indies. There may never be another Dean Ambrose, which means the WWE Creative team needs to act fast. Hes not getting any younger, which provides a great opportunity at Hell in a Cell.
Ambrose should cost Reigns the match, they feud until the Royal Rumble and nthe WWE finally puts on the main event all WWE fans want to see.
#2 Braun Strowman wins U.S. Championship
Braun Strowman will either interfere in the Wyatt/Reigns match, or not appear on the show at all. Hell in a Cell should feature the best-big man on the roster. Thats not insinuating that hes a great wrestler, but hes getting the biggest push. A rumor is now circulating that Strowman may challenge the Undertaker at WrestleMania. The Undertaker versus Braun Strowman is a possibility for WWE WrestleMania 32. Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter states Strowman is getting the push that other monsters in the past geared for Undertaker had gotten.
In order for that to even become a possibility, Strowman needs a rub from a WWE main event star. John Cena has been putting men over for six months. Since hes leaving shortly, Cena needs to drop the U.S. title off to a young wrestler. The Wyatt Family descendant has a chance to become a bigger heel than he already is. Then again, if Bray Wyatt isnt a champion, why shouldnt Wyatt become a champion first?
#3 Kane interferes in favour of Brock Lesnar
Kane is an odd character during the WWEs current storyline. Hes similar Joseph Park from TNA years ago. Theres Corporate Kane and Demon Kane. Both are differnet personas and are referenced differnetly by WWE officials on TV and by the announcers onWWE TV. Writers used that to their advantage when ruining Seth Rollins night two weeks ago onWWE Raw.However, this past episode, Kane was not on at all.WWE.composted a story that Corporate Kane was suspended fromWWE Raw.
Demon Kane shouldve made an appearance to hype his match with Seth Rollins, but they decided against it. Kane will not win the match, but he and his brother, the Undertaker, teamed up on WWEs tour of Mexico. Could that be teasing a potential partnership between the two? Hopefully not, because Kane should be the last match for the Undertaker at WrestleMania.
Brock Lesnar needs the win, so that he can go into his next match with momentum. Taker doesnt need the victory. WWE officials should be writing his plans for WrestleMania right now. Kane wont have any plans. The Brothers of Destruction should go to battle one last time.
#4 Dolph Ziggler Turns Heel/Wins U.S. Championship
This is needed for Dolph Ziggler’s career. He’s in his mid-30’s and may not be around much longer. Therefore, the WWE should honor his latest contract with a big heel turn and a win against John Cena at Hell in a Cell. They already teased it with a superkick to Cena three weeks ago on WWE Raw. The two superstars also had a splended match two weeks ago, which saw Cena walk out victorious. Ziggler’s cryptic message is the biggest clue to this weekend’s Hell in a Cell event. The Show-Off may be on his way winning the U.S. gold.
He talked about never playing by the rules and not caring about anybody. Ziggler made a reference to the match he had with Cena, which was brilliant. His personality was shining throught his message on Twitter. It sounded more like a heel, than a face. Perhaps this is step one towards a push in the right direction for Ziggler.
#5 Sheamus cashes In Money In The Bank
This has the least probablity to happen. Sheamus is teaming up with King Barrett and Rusev to take on Cesaro, Neville and Dolph Ziggler in the Hell in a Cell pre-show. Theres no notion as to who may win, or if a big angle will take place. The pre-show has become irrelevant to the WWE Universe. Sheamus shouldnt be in this match, because he is the Money in the Bank winner. Although, the casual WWE fan may not remember that because of how casually theyre promoting him.
Maybe the silence from the Money in the Bank winner is a clue to him cashing it in soon. Hell in a Cell is a perfect opportunity for Sheamus, simply because Seth Rollins doesnt have an opponent past Kane. Kane will get fired from his job when Rollins defeats him. The Authority wont have an opponent for the Man. Sheamus doesnt have to turn babyface, but Rollins could turn face.
Hes a babyface waiting to break out of his shell. Rollins is so diverse that he could make the switch in an instant. At Hell in a Cell, a lot of things can happen. Sheamus cashing in his briefcase isnt likely, but certainly is bold.
