#5 Stone Cold wears a suit to please Vince McMahon
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Strange as it was, Stone Cold Steve Austin actually wore a suit for the first time in his whoop a** career to please Vince McMahon. It was an unthinkable fact that the rebel could sellout and turn heel infront of his beloved fans.
Vince McMahon introduced Stone Cold as the new improved WWF champion in front of the packed arena. To everyone’s surprise, Austin came out properly dressed in a black suit with a cap on his head. Vince addressed Stone Cold by appreciating his effort to improve as a person and asked the WWE fans in attendance to give it up for Austin’s new attire.
But it was not long that the Texas Rattlesnake could carry on with the drama. After taking a picture in his new oufit with Vince, Austin said that it was the last time ever he would put on a ridiculous suit like that and undressed himself to his old self. He then delivered a knock in between Vince’s legs and walked off the arena after defying his boss just like any other ordinary day at the office.
#4 Vince Mcmahon attacked by Austin in his hospital bed
Vince McMahon was admitted to a hospital which was a part of the Austin-McMahon feud storyline. Prior to this incident, Vince was assaulted by the Rattlesnake who put him in the hospital in the first place.
It was supposed to be a via-satellite interview from his bed with ringside commentator Jim Ross. Vince was frustrated at the attending doctor as he felt his vitals were normal everytime she took a test. The doctor ordered her nurse to carefully observe Vince while she wasn’t there. A familiar male voice replied that he was going to take care of things from there on.
It was no one other than 3:16 himself who was at the scene disguised as a hospital staff. Austin heaped more pain as he assaulted an injured Vince with all the medical equipments available at his disposal. The funniest part was when Austin shoved an IV rip right up down Vince’s sun-don’t-shine area and the cameras blacked out on the audience.
#3 Stone Cold kidnaps Vince and threatens him with a gun
As Jim Ross had exactly stated that this was the most extraordinary situation he had witnessed in his career, it was one of the most defining moments that shaped up the eternal rivalry between the two.
October 19, 1998 was the date when Stone Cold kidnapped Vince McMahon and brought him into the ring tied on a wheelchair. In the previous week’s episode, Vince had warned the WWE roster never to cross the boss because nobody in the locker room was bigger than him. He also mocked 3:16 saying that he was a figure that belonged to the collectors item and instead it was McMahon 3:16 that was sweeping the nation.
Austin then addressed Vince’s cocky ego by pulling out a gun and scared the living hell out of him. He pointed the gun to his head which was actually a toy that popped out a ‘Bang 3:16’ message. Austin wrapped things up by stunning Vince McMahon and ended one of the most miserable nights for the WWE supremo.
#2 Stone Cold drives a Zamboni to the ring
It has been often tagged as the segment which got the loudest reception ever in WWE history. Backed by the classic ringside voice of Jim Ross, Stone Cold and Vince McMahon produce yet another unforgettable moment for the WWE fans to cherish forever.
Detroit, Michigan, hosted the September 28, 1998 episode of Monday Night Raw where Vince McMahon decorated the ring in order to present the Championship to The Undertaker and Kane. The safety of this ceremony was entrusted to the Detroit police who surrounded the arena to stop any kind of interference from Steve Austin.
But you simply could not count out 3:16 to refrain from spoiling the party as Austin bulldozed his way across the security barricades with a zamboni truck. He created havoc on backstage as he destructively drove into the arena filled with a crowd who went crazy over the situation.
As soon as he stopped the truck, there was no rest bite as the Rattlesnake made a leap from the truck into the ring over a shield of officers protecting McMahon and started assaulting the boss. Another great moment was witnessed as the police arrested Austin and escorted him out of the arena.
#1 Austin gives a Beer Bath to Vince and his allies
This was not only the best segment over the period of their rivalry but probably one of the best moments in WWE history. WWE was in its Monday Night war phase against WCW and the industry was generating a series of compelling storylines to keep the audience thrilled for every episode.
And it was 6 days before the Wrestlemania XV on Raw is War (1999), that this epic incident occurred. One of the greatest rivalries between two icons of the Attitude era was beginning to take shape when Stone Cold Steve Austin evaded the arena with a beer truck to spoil The Corporation’s party who had The Rock as their ally.
Stone Cold drove the beer truck right upto the ringside and got up on its roof. He promised the Brahma Bull that he would shove his nursery rhymes down his throat and burn him to the ground to become the new WWE Champion. What followed then was the iconic humiliation of The Corporation as the Rattle Snake drowned The Mcmahons and The Rock in a beer bath and exited the arena, leaving behind a legendary moment for the WWE universe to reflect upon.
