We might still be miles away from it but it wouldn’t be a sin to worry about WrestleMania due to the sheer importance of the show.Unlike the last outing, the company could build up next year’s WrestleMania as a fully decorated show as most of the currently running storylines and some previous ones could culminate at the Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on March 29.The fans cannot be sure about any match happening at the show now that Undertaker’s streak has ended but from what we saw throughout this year, there are certain matches we would love to see at the event and here is a look at them.
#5 Sting vs. Triple H
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Triple H’s Authority run came to an abrupt end at Survivor Series after Sting paid a surprise visit. The intentions of Sting are yet to be known and a confrontation is guaranteed between the icon and the game whenever they meet.
The chances of the Sting – Undertaker match happening are pretty low with all the Bray Wyatt talk that has been going around and the next best opponent that the company has for Sting is Hunter.
Their story needs to be resolved as well and WrestleMania might prove to be an ideal stage for that. Vince McMahon being on Sting’s corner could raise the stakes further as it would also culminate a power struggle angle within the family.
#4 John Cena vs. Rusev
Rusev’s unbeaten run has to come to an end at some point while WWE needs John Cena to put over a youngster cleanly at WrestleMania. Both things are not going to happen at the same time if a Cena – Rusev match happens but at least we could have one positive.
If Cena walks out as the winner, this will not bury Rusev since its Cena. The fans have been there a million times before so even if Rusev falls, they’ll still see it as the company’s favor towards the Cenation leader.
On the other hand if the Bulgarian Brute wins, then this will go down in the history as a big torch passing moment and Rusev could go on to achieve bigger things.
#3 Miz vs. Mizdow
It’s not John Cena, it’s not Ryback, it’s Damien Sandow. He is the probably the most over WWE superstar in the current roster (after Dolph Ziggler that is) and one thing that Mizdow needs now is freedom.
He has been limited by The Miz so far and though the company is yet to drop the ball on the tag team, there is some friction brewing within the duo. Their tag team championship win might’ve been due to the crowd reaction but on the longer run it would provide a great angle.
The champions parting away and feuding all the way to WrestleMania would attract eyeballs. This match will also prove to be the stage for Mizdow’s new career direction making it more significant.
#2 Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns
2014 belonged to Brock Lesnar, 2015 should belong to Roman Reigns. Paul Heyman’s client conquered Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak and went on to become the WWE World Heavyweight Champion as well.
He has been reigning as an undefeatable monster for a long time now and whoever gets a win over him will go down in the record books as a big hero. With the company looking to push Reigns to that level, a clash between these two at the WrestleMania main event would be imminent.
Reigns being the favorite for Royal Rumble makes the route easier for everyone involved and the whole buildup to the final showdown will make it must watch programming after the Rumble.
#1 Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins
WWE could easily go for a Ambrose vs. Bray Wyatt match at WrestleMania but a Rollins – Ambrose showdown would be much better. They were having ‘the’ feud of the year until the last few months and it is still yet to see a fitting climax.
Ambrose and Rollins blew the roof off every time they got in between the ropes and it even has the potential to headline the pay-per-view.
Having the Money in the Bank contract of Rollins on the line will be a great stipulation to begin with and taking away the other rules will make it perfect. A Rollins vs. Ambrose match would be the show stealer on any day and WrestleMania will be no different.
