5 Reasons Why Ziggler was singled out on Raw by The Authority

The second longest running PPV in WWE history will grace us this very month. The one tradition that Survivor Series is known for the traditional tag team match where superstars are eliminated one by one and the last man that survives determines the victory for their team and that also determines your momentum and the push that one might be getting.Some major attention has been paved Ziggler’s way. The Authprity really wanted him in their team. What makes Ziggler so important? Here are 5 ways to reason that

#1 Sell out

One way to reason this is to think about two major events that took place this past Monday.

Ziggler was involved in one of the entertaining segments and matches of the night. Ziggler emphatically declined the offer to be on Team Authority. On the other hand, Randy Orton was quickly breaking away from The Authority. It was becoming apparent that Orton will be part of Team Cena. The night ended with The Authority in their own way disowning Orton.

The major angle is Orton’s face turn and that might be the game changer for Survivor Series. But the obvious doesn’t always take place. For all the great momentum, Team Cena might end up losing if Ziggler plans to stab his partners in the back.

#2 Last Man Standing

The major part of this traditional Survivor Series match is to see who comes out as the last man surviving i.e. who gets the last pin and win for their team. Ziggler has already experienced that in 2012.

One way to accomplish that is if Orton is not part of Team Cena or Team Authority. He will be on hiatus to shoot for a movie. He has been convincingly written off television. What if he makes his return at Survivor Series at the last minute to distract The Authority? That gives Ziggler the chance to be the last man standing, Randy Orton have a major share of the momentum as well.

#3 A Replacement

Another very simple way to reason this attention by the Authority is to see it this way-

Each team has five members. Team Cena will have an easy time choosing from the plethora of babyfaces available. Team Authority has Kane, Rollins, Joey Mercury and Jamie Noble. Yes, I think Noble and Mercury will put on their wrestling shoes again. That leaves the Authority with one member short.

They probably did not trust Orton, forget about making him a ‘co-captain’

It was simply done to push away Orton further apart.

#4 Build Up

Survivor Series is still a few weeks away. Creative needs time to cover those weeks with something worth the audience’s time. Maybe this was a way to build up Survivor Series and it ultimately has no importance in the long run. Ziggler might just come out looking as a fighting champion with all the attention on him but might not ahve any major role to play.

#5 Feeding Off

Another way to look at this is the typical way in which Ziggler is utilised in the WWE- to get the maximum attention and interest of the audience which wholeheartedly supports Ziggler. Over the past one year, Ziggler has been used to put other stars over and he dedicatedly does so, just like Sandow gives to his gimmick making it ridiculously great.

Maybe, Ziggler was just used to make the audience look forward to Sunday and wait for that elusive Ziggler moment.
