Chris BenoitWWE is up there when it comes to promoting the anti-bullying campaigns. As a company that has a huge reach and a loyal fan base, it is not surprising to see WWE do such things. However, bullying has been an integral part of the WWE locker room for ages. Its not that bullying is good; its just that the story of Vince McMahons promotion will never be complete without a chapter or two involving such incidents.Almost all the wrestlers out there have a story of hazing of their own and some of them are extremely disturbing as well. This list is going to take a look at instances of hazing in the WWE.
#6 Honorable Mention: Kliq and Poop
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Kliq was notorious for humiliating others and one of the stories saw them constantly pooping in Jerry ‘The King’ Lawyer’s crown. This in turn forced Jerry to keep a sign which said "Do Not **** in Lawler's Crown".
#5 The other side of Benoit
Palmer Cannon is not a name that will ring bells. He did not spend much time in WWE and when he was there, he played the character of an Authority figure.
He did have some talent, but some backstage bullying soon made Cannon quit WWE. Cannon cited that he was harassed by Chris Benoit and JBL backstage and this led to the downfall of his career even before it took off.
Cannon was apparently humiliated in the name of ‘Wrestlers Court’. It is a story about Benoit that not many of us know and apart from the Cannon case, Benoit was also involved in the bullying of Daniel Puder during the 2005 Royal Rumble and Miz incident in 2006.
#4 Orton gets nasty
Randy Orton has a bad boy reputation in the wrestling business. He is known for his arrogance and was subjected to a nasty rumor a few years back.
Amy Weber, who was a diva in WWE for a short term claimed that Orton pooped in her bag. Amy also claimed that she was sexually harassed by the Viper. Another former Diva Rochelle Loewen also claimed that Orton vandalized her belongings.
“He’s an animal…he’s an absolute animal. What kind of man acts like that when he likes a beautiful woman? This guy is just absolutely out to lunch..he’s just retarded,” She said. Despite such accusations against him, Orton rose to the top because WWE didn’t want to bury their upcoming star for what a few irrelevant Divas had to say about ‘The Viper’.
#3 X-Pac proves to be an inspiration for Orton
It takes a lot of creativity to think about pooping in someone’s bag. Thankfully for Orton, he had another wrestler to get inspired from.
Before Orton did the unthinkable, Sean Waltman (Aka X-Pac) did the same stuff in Sunny’s food. The Kliq was always behind Sunny during the good old days and when Waltman got the chance to make a point, he grabbed the opportunity with open arms. The incident happened during an overseas tour. Sunny kept her food in an airtight container and Waltman decided to slip in some poop into it.
Waltman is also known for pooping in the back of Sable at some point. And the funny part is that; he confirmed both the incidents in separate shoot videos which you could find on YouTube.
#2 Miz gets some lessons from JBL
JBL has a bad reputation when it comes to bullying. There are a lot of stories about him out there in the wrestling business and one of the most notable ones involves the Miz.
JBL and the locker-room found fun in pushing Miz to the limit. JBL felt that Miz was not good enough to be in the WWE and sparked off comments both backstage and on television. JBL once got physical with Miz as well when he kicked out the awesome one from the locker room for eating chicken near a bag of clothes.
Miz, to his credit, endured all these bullying incisents and ended up making a name for himself in the business by winning the WWE championship and headlining WrestleMania.
#1 Shower antics of JBL
We have already seen JBL get involved in the Palmer Cannon issue and the Miz controversy, and apart from these, JBL is known to have a disturbing habit of hazing newcomers in the shower.
JBL used to rub baby oil onto new wrestlers in the shower as part of his hazing stunt. Paul London was on the receiving end once and there are other instances as well. Bryan Christopher was also a victim JBL’s attempts at the doing the same.
Along with all these, JBL bullied Chris Masters as well. JBL criticized Masters on various occasions and eventually Masters decided to ignore the former WWE champion. Currently, JBL is part of WWE’s Be a Star campaign which somehow feels ironic considering the things that he did backstage.
