5 things that WWE should do after Daniel Bryan's injury

Daniel Bryan stuck a knife right into the heart of the WWE Universe when he announced that he will be taking time off to undergo surgery. The news was a bigger disappointment for the WWE writers who lost their creative gem to such unfortunate Injury.Riding on a very good momentum and headlining with his title, Bryan clearly was someone who the company had big plans for in the near future. The pay-per-view structures and the future of some talents will be up in the air as well thanks to Bryans injury. They now face an array of difficult decisions regarding the direction in which they should travel and here is a look at the five things that they have to do after encountering a twist of faith.

#5 Give Kane a clear new direction

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

One thing that WWE often does when a worker gets injured is drop the storyline entirely destroying the momentum of his opponent.

Ever since he has been tangled with Bryan, Kane has been looking like a credible heel which is not something that WWE should waste. They should find a new clear direction for Kane now instead of just throwing him out of television till Daniel Bryan returns.

It wouldn’t be an easy job since there aren’t many top talents without a storyline now, but Sheamus or Rob Van Dam would be a good choice to fill in and keep the momentum of Kane so that he could have that big feud ending match with Bryan once he returns.

#4 Keep Bryan off Total Divas

The advantage of keeping superstars off the television is that the company could easily have them return with a big pop.

Daniel Bryan also has that potential and he could even have a better momentum than what he has now when he makes his return. However one thing that the company needs to make sure is that the fans don’t get to see him at Total Divas.

If they always see him in the Reality television, there won’t be a point in him missing from the action which would take the sting off his return. If the company wants to bring him back with a bang, Bryan needs to be out of all the bathroom drama.

#3 Not using Brie Bella to continue the Storyline

With Bryan laid out for a sometime, the most logical decision that WWE could do is to let Brie fill in the gap to stretch the feud.

It would give Bryan a bigger reason to knock Kane out once he returns. But the problem with that is Brie itself. In the short span of time, Brie has proved to us that she is a long way from being a good actress.

Having Kane chase her and making her scream awkwardly will only make the fans lose interest in the angle. Brie shouldn’t be considered as a replacement for Bryan at any stage as it would be a suicide from the creative.

#2 Giving other top feuds the spotlight

The battle between Daniel Bryan and Kane was so good that it had the honor of main eventing Extreme Rules and was well on its way to headline Payback as well.

Now that Bryan’s injury has put a halt to that plan, what WWE could do now is let the other feuds get that main event status. The Shield –Evolution feud was something which the fans expected to see as the headline of Extreme Rules but Bryan’s match had more spots to offer.

But there is no doubt about the credibility of the stable war to headline the pay-per-views. The company could also push the Bray Wyatt- John Cena feud as the No.2 and make sure that the fans don’t feel like that it’s not worth investing in.

#1 Putting the title on a heel

The biggest problem that WWE will face after Bryan’s injury is the decision on how they should use the title.

If Bryan is out for a long time, the title needs to be stripped from him and put on someone else. And that someone should be a heel if Bryan is to have his underdog status renewed when he returns.

On his return, Bryan could settle the score with Kane and then go on a feud to retain his title. If the title is one someone like John Cena or some other top face, Bryan wouldn’t have a good enough challenge when he retains his title.

On the other hand, if it is the light of Hunter, Orton or even Lesnar, we are sure to see some fireworks when Bryan makes his return after the surgery.
