5 Weapons WWE loves to use

The Miz is one of the countless superstars to hit an opponent with a championship belt.

Everything from stairs to trash cans can be used as weapons in WWE action. One basic premise behind professional wrestling is that each match is contested under a set of rules that must be followed. Generally speaking, those rules outlaw the use of outside objects as weapons. But as we all know, those rules are frequently broken, and sometimes matches involve special rules that even allow the use of weapons. When that happens, there are several weapons that get more airtime than others and always seem to turn up at convenient times. Here are five such weapons that have become go-to options over the years.

#5 Title belt

What's the point of being a champion if you can't enjoy a few perks?

One of those benefits, especially for heel champions, is the convenience of using your championship belt as a viable weopen to inflict pain on your opponent.

This move is also often combined with a distracted referee to further enrage the fans who witness the entire act of villainy. The downside is that the belt shot doesn't create the noise or dramatic visual effect of other weapons on the list, but it would still hurt to get hit with one.

#4 Table

The Dudleys have made using tables an art form over the years.

Perhaps in case a potluck dinner arises during a match, there are always a couple of folding tables under a WWE ring.

Even if they couldn't explain the need for a table during regular matches, superstars always know where to look for one. In recent years, WWE programming has even included specific table matches that require someone to take a trip through a perfectly good eating surface.

The Dudley Boyz are especially fond of tables, and fans in every arena join Bubba Ray when he yells, “D’Von, get the table!”

#3 Kendo stick

Dean Ambrose is one of many WWE superstars who dabble in the martial arts when kendo sticks are available.

Most WWE fans have no real knowledge of what a kendo stick actually is, but they know how it can be used.

These martial arts practice weapons have found their way into the WWE repertoire, and they're now a key element in any street rules match,

Perhaps used for the cracking noise they make as much as the damage they inflict, kendo sticks have recently become the favorite toy of Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Bray Wyatt. A few have even been decorated for holiday themed matches.

#2 Sledgehammer

Triple H’s facial hair is as painful as the sledgehammer would be.

This one isn't widely used, but it has achieved almost mythical status on WWE programming. Mainly because it's user, Triple H, is a real-life executive with the company and his favorite weapon is an unbeatable object that has taken down superstars of all calibers.

Curiously, no one seems to have long-term damage from getting whacked in the skull with the hammer. It is perhaps the most sure fire weapon on the list, though, as one shot from it generally finishes the match

#1 The folding chair

Seth Rollins infamously used a chair when he turned on his Shield brethren.

It would be interesting to figure out when it happened, but at some point, the metal folding chair became a staple of pro wrestling.

Whether a part of a hardcore rules match or just a convenient set piece to hit someone with, the chair has seen plenty of action.

It’s often referred to as a steel chair, although there's no guarantee what those chairs are made of. Either way, there's a variety of ways to use one, and they all seem to hurt the guy on the other end of the punishment.
