Ever since WrestleMania 30 was over, the speculations started for next year’s prestigious Hall of Fame class. News reports about the rumored list came out recently and hinting that some of the biggest names in professional wrestling are going to be inducted next year. Now as the Night of Champions is over, we are getting closer to Royal Rumble, and then WrestleMania, so it is the right time to having a sincere look at the latest speculations. The list comprises of the biggest names in professional wrestling, in order of how the event will progress if the revealed list next year will be same, or near about similar. It comprises of one Diva, one midcard talent, two big names in professional wrestling and one headliner for Hall of Fame class of 2015. It’s time to take a look at it.
#5 Mickie James
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
WWE decided in 2010 that each year must have a woman as part of the class. While the great female wrestlers are hard to find since the departure of Trish Stratus and Lita, Mickie James is the one who deserves the spot at next year’s Hall of Fame. She is five-time Women’s Champion, one-time Divas Champion and one of the most decorated female wrestlers competed in the ring. Her famous feud with Trish was amazing and her in-ring capabilities were still considered superior when compared to any diva in present time.
She made a high impact on the company during her tenure and the scenario of whole divas division was completely revolutionized during her appearances. It is the right time to give reward to her accomplishments.
#4 Rikishi
This name was not as Legendary as others in this list, but he was certainly the contender for next year due to a number of reasons. Firstly, he is parent of current generation of superstars (Tag team “The Usos”). WWE always love having their current stars induct their fathers (remember induction of Dusty Rhodes, Ted Dibiase, Bob Orton, Rocky Johnson). Secondly, his comedy acts during 1999-2000 were quite enjoyable, to say the least. He was never a bad performer and always provided fun time to fans while watching his matches.
He was a midcard talent at best, mainly famous for his feud with Austin at the end of 2000 and his amazing pairing with Too Cool (Together, they innovated those cool dance moves). There are huge chances that 2015 would be his year to enter the Hall of Fame class.
#3 Randy Savage
WWE Hall of Fame will always incomplete without “Macho Man” Randy Savage. There is no need to convince anyone of Savage’s credentials. He was easily one of three main event talents of the mid-late eighties, apart from Hulk Hogan and Ultimate Warrior. Whether he was working as an in-ring competitor, cutting promos or even doing commentary, Randy Savage is one of the best examples of a successful wrestler. It was unfortunate that his issues with Vince through the years prevented him from entering into the prestigious class.
With WWE initiative of mending broken relationships with Bruno Sammartino and Ultimate Warrior in recent times, the hopes are high that we are finally able to see induction of Legendary Randy Savage.
#2 Kevin Nash
The guy deserving the most to be part of Hall of Fame Class of 2015 is none other than Kevin Nash. He is part of various memorable moments in professional wrestling. He was involved in major storylines and numerous big matches in both WWE and WCW, holding world titles in both the brands. He was part of two most famous factions, Kliq and NWO, the latter one played a major part during Monday Night Wars. He is the only founding member of NWO (others being Hogan and hall) who is left to achieve this accolade.
With his close friends Scott Hall and Shawn Michaels already being inducted, the best move from WWE should be to induct him next year. He is certainly a big part of wrestling history and this is the right time for his induction.
#1 The Rock
There is only one “The Great One” and chances are high that 2015 might be The Rock’s year to go into prestigious Hall of Fame class. It is great to see if the guy who is the biggest star of both professional wrestling and Hollywood will be going to headline the class. Although he spent less time in the business as many of the other huge stars, his impact is huge towards the professional wrestling. While Steve Austin may have been the originator of the modern catch phrase, Rock perfected it.
He is one of the few people who reached the level of success he enjoyed and the news of his induction is enough to make the event filled with media and fan attention. There is only one issue left, however, is that should he still wants to wrestle and looking for another in-ring return, the company might delay his induction for few more years.
