FIFA 15 - Best England team

England always have the best players and the potential to win all competitions. But they do not perform as expected in all major competitions. They had a World cup to forget as they didn’t even manage to enter into Knockouts. They lost to Italy and Uruguay and drew with Costa Rica to finish at the bottom of the group. After this World Cup, England have made several changes in their lineup and it’s time for young stars to fill in the shoes left by the likes of Gerrard and Lampard. Players like Ross Barkley, Raheem Sterling, Lallana, Sturridge, Welback, Smalling, Jones are the future stars of this team.We have used here the standard 4-4-2 formation with two strikers upfront and we have selected these players based only on their FIFA 15 ratings.

The Manchester City shot stopper is obviously the first choice goalkeeper with a rating of 82. His backups are Ben Foster (78) and John Ruddy (77). After making his senior-debut in 2008, Joe Hart has cemented his position and has been irreplacable in the lineup. Hart has been the key player for City in the last three years in which they won two premier league titles and he is duly rated among the top 20 goalkeepers in FIFA 15.

#2 Kyle Walker (RB)

For many who expected Glen Johnson in the lineup, its time for him to pave way for youngsters. Kyle Walker is rated 77 in the game and is given the nod ahead of Micah Richards (who is also rated 77 in the game) because of his age. Walker is 24 whereas Richards in 26. Walker is fast, agile, can dribble, tackle and even score some stunning free kicks.. Glen Johnson is rated 76 in the game, followed by the Southampton sensation Nathaniel Clyne at 74.

#3 Gary Cahill (CB)

The Vice-captain of England is now seems to be irreplacable for his both club and National team. Rated 81 in the game, only former england captain John Terry is rated above him at 83. As Terry is no longer considered for the national side, we didn’t pick him up. But, that doesn’t mean you can’t in the game. Dawson (79) and Lescott (79) are seen as the backups for this position.

#4 Phil Jagielka (CB)

The Everton Captain is rated 80 in the game and partners Cahill in the defense for England. Phil Jones (79) just misses the spot by a point and is considered the backup for this position. He is closely followed by Ryan Shawcross at 77 in this game. Jagielka has made more than 200 appearences for Everton and has scored 8 goals for them. He has played 34 International matches scoring 3 goals in the process.

#5 Leighton Baines (LB)

One of the best Left Backs in the Premier League is rated 82 in the game. And former Chelsea star Ashley Cole misses this spot by a point at 81. Roy Hodgson need not worry about this position in the lineup because after Baines and Cole’s departures, he has a host of options to choose from players like Kieron Gibbs (78), Luke Shaw (75), Danny Rose (74), Ryan Bertrand (74) and the list goes on.

#6 Gareth Barry (CDM)

Gareth Barry is rated 80 in the game and has played much of his career as a Holding Midfielder, but he is capable of playing in left midfield and central midfield positions and sometimes maybe as a left back. He gets the nod as both Lampard (80) and Gerrard (82) are not playing for their country anymore. But, they both are still available in the roster and you can always start with them or bring in as a substitute during the match.

#7 Jack Wilshere (CM)

The Arsenal player is rated 81 and gets the nod as first choice for this position. He controls the game with his passing, loves to get inside the box, score and create chances for others. His ball control, passing and dribbling have high attributes in the game. There are players like Michael Carrick (79), Henderson (78), Jack Rodwell (76) and many more as his back ups.

#8 Theo Walcott (RM)

The injury-prone Theo Walcott is rated 81 in the game and is the first choice right midfielder or winger in this lineup. Tottenham Hotspur’s Aaron Lennon closely follows him at 79, and Arsenal youngster Alex Oxlade Chamberlain, rated 78 in the game are the backups for this position. Similar to the left back spot, you are spoilt for choices for the wings as well.

#9 Raheem Sterling (LM)

The youngster is touted to be the future star of England. He has pace, agile, dribbling and can even track back and take possession of the ball. His blistering pace was recently discussed worldwide as he outpaced Ronaldo in a Champions League game. At the age of 19, Sterling has already played 13 games for England and hasn’t opened up the scoring till now, it’s just a matter of games before he starts shooting on a regular basis.

#10 Daniel Sturridge (ST)

After leaving Chelsea, Sturridge has settled well in at Anfield as their striker and formed a solid partnership along Suarez last season. He has already scored 32 goals in 46 appearences for Liverpool. Aged 25, he is still becoming a better player and gets the first nod to start as striker up front. He is rated 83 in the game and the backup for this position is Jermain Defoe, who is rated 80 in the game. Danny Welback is rated 78 in the game and is third choice for this position.

#11 Wayne Rooney (ST)

Wayne Rooney was named England captain after the retirement of Steven Gerrard. Rooney has scored 46 goals for England in 101 appearences and is third in the list of All-time top goal scorers for England. Only Gary Lineker and Sir Bobby Charlton are above him with 48 and 49 goals respectively. Rooney is rated 86 in the game and is the highest rated England player in FIFA 15.
