The 2010 World Cup winners had a recent World Cup to forget as they were knocked out from the tournament after losing their first two matches against Netherlands and Chile. Here, we are helping you choose the best playing XI for Spain using a 4-2-3-1 formation.

#1 Iker Casillas (GK)

The Captain of Spain may have not played well in the World Cup, but he is a player of class. He has been ever present for Real Madrid this season and is still better compared to their new signing Keylor Navas. Casillas is the third captain in footballing history to have won the World Cup, the Champions League and the European Championship and also the first captain to lift the UEFA Super Cup alongwith this heavyweight trophies. #2 Andoni Iraola (RB)

The 32-year old is rated 80 in FIFA 15, and is above in the pecking order. Arbeola, Juanfran and Carvajal follow him with 79, just a rating below. Iraola has been a one club man since signing with Bilbao when he was a youngster. Even for his age, he has attributes in the range of 81, 83 and 88 for Marking, Tackling and Crossing. You can always change this player with Carvajal or Arbeola or Juanfran, but Iraola is rated above these men for this position.

#3 Sergio Ramos (CB)

Sergio Ramos is the highest rated Spainsh defender at 87, who is duly named first in the lineup and his partner in crime Pique is rated way below at 84, which is below than Bayern Munich’s defender Javi Martinez. He is among the best players who is eligible to captain this side after Casillas. He is among the highest rated defenders in FIFA 15. He is irreplacable in this Spanish team.

#4 Javi Martinez (CB)

As we are rating this team based on the player ratings in FIFA 15, Bayern Munich’s defender Javi Martinez gets the nod as the second central defender as he is rated at 85, one above Gerard Pique, who is rated 84. Pique has been playing poorly for his club and has been warming the benches for a long time. Sure, Pique is a star and should be one of the first names present in the team, but we rating the players here solely based on ratings from the game. Still he is available in the roster, and you can always bring him as a substitute.

#5 Jordi Alba (LB)

The Barcelona marauder is among the best defensive midfielders in FIFA 15. He is rated 85 in the game, which is one above Xabi Alonso, who is rated 84. Busquets has 83 for Ball Control, 85 for Passing the ball and 84 for Tackle in the game. His Defensive attributes are rated at 81. For the forseeable future, Busquets will surely be a definite starter for the Spainsh national side.
