#10 Detroit Pistons

We start off with, the Detroit Pistons who had a disappointing last season and have taken the first step in appointing a new head coach for the team – Stan Van Gundy, the former head coach of Miami Heat and Orlando Magic.
Last season, Pistons finished 4th in the Central Division and 11th in the Eastern Conference with a winning percentage of .354.
Josh smith led the charts with 16.4 points per game and Brandon Jennings with 7.6 assists per game for the Pistons last season.
#9 Brooklyn Nets
Brooklyn Nets will have tough time replacing their super hero mascot BrooklyKnight and their team’s leader Paul Pierce, who joined Washington Wizards after one season with Nets. Nets also brought in Lionel Hollins as their new head coach for this season replacing Jason Kidd who is now managing Milwaukee Bucks.
Last season, Nets finished 2nd in the Atlantic Division and 6th in Eastern Conference and lost their Conference Semifinals against Miami Heat in a 1-4 series loss.

The New York Knicks will surely have a bright future ahead after locking up the services of their star player Carmelo Anthony and confirming Derek Fisher as their new head coach for this season after firing Mike Woodson, who managed the team from 2011.
Last season, Knicks secured the 3rd spot in the Atlantic Division and 9th in the Conference.
#7 Miami Heat
After losing LeBron James to Cavaliers, Miami have retained the services of Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade and have signed Luol Deng for this season. Surely, they are not your best bet for the NBA Finals but has the potential to reach the Playoffs.
Last season, Miami Heat secured 1st position in the SouthEast Division and 2nd in the Conference, and they were eliminated (1-4) by San Antonio Spurs in NBA Finals.
#6 Toronto Raptors
DeMar DeRozan and Terrence Ross, the league’s most explosive players still ply their trade with the Raptors and the extension of Kyle Lowry combined with the development of Jonas Valanciunas makes the Raptors even more stronger this season. Dwane Casey continues as their head coach this season also.
Last season, Raptors finished 1st in the Atlantic Division and 3rd in the Conference.
#5 Charlotte Hornets
The Hornets will have the happier set of supporters as their team reached the Playoffs for the first time since 2010. The Bobcats era ended on a high note and its time for Charlotte Hornets to rule this season. Many pundits have labelled them as the surprise package of the 2014-15 season.
Last season, they finished 3rd in South-east Division and 7th in the Conference and suffered 4-0 series lost against Miami Heat in the playoffs.
#4 Atlanta Hawks
Last season Atlanta Hawks reached the Playoffs without their star forward player Al Horford, They even managed to extend the series to seven games in Playoffs against Indiana Pacers but eventually lost 4-3.
Last season, Hawks finished 4th in South-east division and 8th in the Conference.
#3 Washington Wizards
The Wizards had a breakout season last year reaching the second round of Playoffs since 1982. They have secured the signing of veteran Paul Pierce from Brooklyn Nets this season, with his experience alongwith Bradley Beal and John Wall they form a fearsome lineup.
Last season, Washington Wizards finished 2nd in South-east Division and 5th in the Conference. They lost 2-4 against Indiana Pacers in the Conference Semifinals.
#2 Chicago Bulls
Chicago Bulls star player Derrick Rose was injured for a long part of the season starting from November. During the December month, Bulls lost 10 and won 5 without the presence of Rose and went on to finish 4th in the Conference. This time around they have got back Rose in full health, plus the additions of Pau Gasol, Doug McDermott and Nikola Mirotic makes them tough to beat.
Last season, Bulls finished 2nd in the Central Division and 4th in the Conference. They lost 4-1 against Washington Wizards in the first round.
#1 Cleveland Cavaliers
Topping the list are undoubtedly the Cleveland Cavaliers. They hired new head coach David Blatt, who was awarded the 2014 Euroleague Coach of the Year. They brought back the ‘King’ LeBron James and acquired Kevin Love from Timberwolves. Alongwith Irving, LeBron and Love they form a fearsome lineup and they are the team to watch in the coming season.
Last season, Cavaliers finished 3rd in Central Divison and 10th in the Conference.
