This years exciting Premier League is coming to an endbut football fans will be keeping a close eye on two things after its conclusion the World Cup and the summer transfer window. Plenty of players will arrive at different Premier League this summerbut there will be a few players who will want to move out of their current clubs due to a lack of playing time. Here is a list of 5 players who should force a move away from their current club..
#1 Javier Hernandez
The "Little Pea" has produced some brilliant moments at Manchester United and will never be forgotten by the Old Trafford faithful but should leave the club in order to play more first team football. Chicharito has made 28 appearances for United this season, 18 of them as a substitute, and will never be the club's first choice striker as Robin Van Persie still has a few good years left in him.
Danny Welbeck and Wayne Rooney are ahead of him in the pecking order, effectively ending Hernandez’s hopes of becoming a regular under David Moyes. A host of Spanish clubs are interested in his services and the striker should make a move this summer in order to get the playing time he deserves.
#2 Ashley Cole
The England left-back joined Chelsea from Arsenal in 2006 and was ever present for them for years but has lost his place in the squad this season to Cesar Azpilicueta – a player who is originally a right back. It has become increasingly clear that Mourinho favours Azpilicueta over Cole and its only a matter of time before he is completely shut out of the squad.
More and more England fans want Leighton Baines to be named as the Three Lions’ first choice left-back and Cole cannot fight for his place in his country’s squad by sitting on the bench. It won’t be a surprise if the 33-year-old switches clubs before or after the World Cup.
Very few Premier League clubs will be able to match Cole’s current salary which is £120,000 a week so a move to the MLS or Ligue 1 will be best for the player.
#3 Micah Richards
Manchester City’s longest serving player looks set to leave the club at the end of the season. Manchester City is Richards' boyhood club years but he has made just 18 appearances for the club over the past 2 seasons.
Pablo Zabaleta looks set to be the Manchester club’s first choice right-back for the foreseeable future leaving no place for Richards in the squad. The 25-year-old recently stated that he may have to leave the club in search of first team football and already has one foot out of the door after he recently turned down a new contract.
AC Milan, Liverpool and Newcastle are some of the clubs who have expressed their interest in the powerful full back.
#4 Iago Aspas
Brendan Rodgers is a brilliant manager, there’s no doubt about that, but just what was he thinking when he chose to bring Iago Aspas to Anfield for £7.7 million last summer? The striker has made just 13 goalless Premier League appearances and is clearly not good enough to wear Liverpool’s legendary number 9 shirt.
The sensational form of SAS is another thing which stands in the way of the Spaniard and the Liverpool first team. A move back to his homeland would be best for the player.
#5 Anders Lindegaard
The Dane arrived at Manchester United in 2010 hoping to take over the number 1 shirt from Edwin Van Der Sar when he retired but those hopes were dashed with the arrival of David De Gea. Lindegaard made 13 appearances last season after Sir Alex Ferguson chose to drop De Gea for a while due to his shaky form but the Spaniard has come back better than ever this season, which has limited Lindegaard to only 3 appearances.
The 29-year-old is no pushover and kept five clean sheets in his first five Premier League games. Lindegaard is extremely consistent and deserves to play some more first team football which he is unlikely to get at Manchester United. A move to another Premier League club would be in the goalkeepers best interests.
