5 Spanish players who could retire after the FIFA World Cup 2014

The 2014 world cup is at its full swing but the biggest upset occurred when the defending champions were knocked out by defeat from Netherlands and Chile. #1 Iker Casillas

Captain Iker Casillas, who made basic errors in both Spain's first two games in Brazil, could step aside. However, reports suggest the 33-year-old Real Madrid goalkeeper has yet to make up his mind over his future.

The Real Madrid defensive midfielder dismissed the rumours but refused to talk about his future with Spain, after reports suggested that the 32-year-old would retire following the tournament – a decision he supposedly made prior to the competition.

A new-look Spain is expected for the Euro 2016 qualifiers, which begin on September 4 against France in Paris. The likes of Kiko Casilla, Isco, Alberto Moreno, Thiago Alcantara, Dani Carvajal, Jese, Ander Iturraspe and Gerard Deulofeu are all mentioned as potential members of the squad.
