In the last 10 World Cups dating back to 1974, England has never been a part of the final. Infact the only participation in the final was way back in 1966 which is in stark contrast to other top nations like Netherlands and Argentina who have been to finals thrice, Germany 6 times, and Brazil participated in the Final 4 times.England just managed to earn a solitary point in Brazil and never managed to impress the fans and pundits in 270 minutes of the play barring a great spell of 15-20 minutes at the start against Italy. However, with World Cup long gone and Steven Gerrard, Frank Lampard almost certain to bid good bye, John Terry, Rio Ferdinand, Ashley Cole not in the fold and Jagielka, Milner, Rooney and Lambert not at their prime and not getting any younger, its time for England to look forward and give youngsters a chance to mature and express themselves.2010 World Cup was a turning point for German National Team where players like Ozil, Sami, Thomas Mueller, who were never heard before made their name and showed the World what they are capable of. It is time for FA to do such experiment and help England youngsters express themselves and earn some playing time to mature before the Euro 2016 and WC 2018.Looking forward to the future, players who are expected to have maximum impact are:
#1 Joe Hart
At 27 years of Age, Hart can almost play 2 more World Cups and is at an age where goalkeepers play at their best. Hart is a regular at the Club level with Manchester City playing 195 times for them and also amassing 43 caps for the National team.
He has enough experience and is a great keeper on his day. He has managed to win the Golden Glove for 3 consecutive years in 2010-11, 2011-12 and 2012-13 which shows his consistent performances at the Club Level.
Joe is certainly vocal, has great confidence, is great in saving penalties and also close range shots and can work wonders. The only area he needs to work on is his Concentration, Catching Crosses and Saving Long shots. He can actually become a great keeper and challenge Manuel Neuer for the best goalkeeper in future.
#2 Jack Wilshere
Aged 22, Jack has experienced a World Cup and will be a part of England Teams of future if he manages to attain what he is expected to do. Playing at the heart of midfield of Arsenal, Jack has played alongside Fabregas in the past and playing along with Ozil and Santi in present and is learning a great deal from these World Class talents.
Having donned the Arsenal jersey for 86 times since 2008 and donning the England Shirt 20 times since 2010 Jack is certainly maturing and is the player to look forward. Wilshere is known for his movement, vision and passing along with combination play and leadership qualities.
He has been described as having Spanish Technique but an English Heart by Arsene. Jack needs to work on his discipline, Finishing and Crossing and if he manages to overcome his short comings then surely England will have a certain Steven Gerrard and Frank Lampard in Jack who can lead England in future will real passion to win.
#3 Ross Barkley
Aged just 20, Ross is defined as even better talent than Rooney was when he made his debut. Rooney certainly had a great deal of success and if Ross can even manage to mirror the success of Rooney, Ross will make England midfield unbeatable.
Having played for Everton 47 times and 9 times for England, Ross is great at dribbling, has a great pace to beat players and is good at Long Shots and Free Kicks. Ross plays with lot of passion and desire to win and if he can form a partnership with Jack at the middle, then England will certainly have a midfield which can match the success of Spain’s midfield.
#4 Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain
Aged 20, Alex has matured at a great pace. Whenever Alex was out with injuries, Arsenal struggled to have the attack started from Wings and same was the case when he missed a game for England. Alex at just 20 years of age has played 55 times for Arsenal and 15 times for 3 lions and scoring 5 and 3 goals respectively. Alex is again great at Dribbling, Long Shots, and Through Balls.
He starts Counter Attack after Counter Attack for Arsenal and also can finish off the attack with a cool finish or a great cross. Alex likes to cut inside and create a havoc in defense and in the process earns penalty decisions in his favour which again is a great talent for a player who does not play act.
#5 Daniel Sturridge
A rejuvenated Sturridge has finally settled at a club where he has been instrumental for the success of Liverpool and formed a deadly partnership with Suarez. Having played at City, Chelsea and Liverpool Daniel has enough experience at the club level with over 100 games in the league and also donned the 3 lions jersey 14 times. He has the knack for goal and with his pace he is difficult to handle. He has pace, dribbles great, and can take Long shots as well. With little working on Passing, Composure, and Hold Up Play, Daniel can certainly lit up the forward line and help England rise from the ashes.
