When he returned in 2013, reporters were quick to ask him whether he still considered himself the special one, to which he smiled and said- “I am now the happy one.”

Mourinho continued the mind games until the transfer window closed. Finally, Mourinho gave Rooney a 48 hour ultimatum to decide if he wanted to join Chelsea.
