#10 Juan Mata - Manchester United

From: Chelsea FC
Signing Fee: £37m
5 goals and 6 assists already in his short period for Manchester United, Mata was one of the few positives which David Moyes brought to United during his managerial stay.
The free kick against Newcastle may have made many Chelsea fans wonder whether it was right to let him go. However, Chelsea's loss is United's gain.
#9 Alvaro Negredo - Manchester City

From: Sevilla
Signing Fee: £16.4m
"The Beast" had a great start to life at the Etihad but a couple of injuries disrupted his form and he is now down the pecking order at City. 9 goals and 3 assists, he was the perfect foil for Sergio Aguero. City fans will hope Negredo will start next season like this one and will be consistent.
#8 Loic Remy - Newcastle United

From: Queens Park Rangers
Signing Fee: On loan
Alan Pardew's penchant for French players seems to be never ending. In a tumultous season for Newcastle, Remy has been one of the few positives. 13 goals thus far, Alan Pardew wants to make Remy's stay at St.James' Park permanent in the summer.
But with Arsenal also on Remy's radar, the task won't be an easy one for Pardew.
#7 Dejan Lovren - Southampton

From: Lyon
Signing Fee: £10m
Lovren and Jose Fonte were a rock in the Southampton backline which was hard to crack for many teams. Latest reports suggest that Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is planning a summer swoop for the Croatian centre back.
A man with lots of experience for Lyon and Croatia, Lovren has been more than impressive for his new club.
#6 Wilfried Bony - Swansea City

From: Vitesse Arnhem
Signing Fee: £12m
Wilfried Bony arrived at Swansea with the reputation of being the leading goal scorer in the Dutch Eredivise with 31 goals. On his debut against Manchester United, he showed glimpses of what he can achieve in the Premier League. 15 goals thus far, and having helped the Swans survive relegation, he has lived up to his name.
The 12 million price tag also appears a bit cheap but he was no less an impressive buy, one of the last by ex-manager Michael Laudrup.
#5 Romelu Lukaku - Everton

From: Chelsea FC
Signing Fee: On loan
Chelsea must be scratching their heads to find the reason behind sending Lukaku out on loan when their own strikers haven't performed well. At Everton, Lukaku started from where he left off last season at West Brom. 13 goals in the BPL thus far, his form waded away a bit in the last few months. With Benteke injured for Belgium, Lukaku will have the added responsibility up front in the World Cup.
#4 Andre Schurrle - Chelsea

From: Bayer Leverkusen
Signing Fee: £18m
His hat-trick against Fulham was something which caught everyone's attention. A season in which Chelsea's midfield has been dominated by Eden Hazard, Willian and Oscar, Schurrle has made the most of the chances he has received. A World Cup call for Germany may well be on the horizon.
#3 Willian - Chelsea

From: Anzhi Makhachkala
Signing Fee: £32m
The arrival of Willian and his consequent adaptation to Jose Mourinho's style of football was one of the reasons behind the departure of Juan Mata. A player with sudden bursts of pace, Chelsea had been running after Willian's signature since his Shakhtar days. With a major part of his career still left, he is someone who can blossom very well under Mourinho's tutelage.
#2 Gerard Deulofeu - Everton

From: FC Barcelona
Signing Fee: On loan
Gerard Deulofeu was one of the many players Roberto Martinez signed for Everton on loan from other clubs. This La Masia graduate impressed one and all at Goodison Park with his clinical runs and dribbles down the left flank. He is certainly one for the future for FC Barcelona and Spain. His manager Martinez is so impressed by him that he has labelled him as a future World Star.
#1 Fernandinho - Manchester City

From: Shakhtar Donetsk
Signing Fee: £30m
Fernandinho, along with his partner in crime Yaya Toure has been instrumental in the defensive midfield region of City, thus reducing the workload of Kompany and his defenders. Intercepting through balls and an occasional run into the box, Fernandinho had won the Ukrainian League the last four years consecutively with Shakhtar Donetsk. Looks like his love affair with league wins might continue again this season.
