#1 Arsenal\'s Vermaelen agrees deal to join Man United

Arsenal skipper Thomas Vermaelen has agreed terms in principle to join Manchester United this summer. However, the Red Devils must now agree a transfer fee with Arsenalto lure theBelgian International to Old Trafford.

Varmaelen, who has one year left on his contract with the Gunners,has failed to seek regular football atEmirates after the arrival of Germanys Per Mertesacker in 2011. #2 Napoli rule out Higuain move to Barcelona

Napoli have publicly denied claims that they have agreed deal to sell their star striker Gonzalo Higuain to Barcelona. The 26-year-old joined the Serie A club only last summer and is believed to be a target for the Catalan club.

Spanish newspaper Marca claimed that Higuain is on the verge of completing a €40 million move to the Camp Nou. But Napoli have denied such rumours via twitter declaring that the claims are "entirely unfounded" and that they "lack any foundation."

Meanwhile, another Spanish newspaper Sport report that the La Liga giants have no interest in signing the Argentine International: “We spoke to the club(Barcelona) to verify the news. Higuain is absolutely not in Luis Enrique’s plans. There was no contact with Napoli.”

#3 Van Gaal wants Bayern duo at Man United

New Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal is planning a double raid on Bayern Munich duo Arjen Robben and Bastian Schweinsteiger as he attempts to get Red Devils back to the Champions League.

The Dutch coach is thought to prefer experienced midfielder Sweinsteiger to his Bayern and Germany team-mate Toni Kroos and despite Robben ruling out any move this term, the Red Devils will make efforts to land the flying winger.

Man United, meanwhile, value Schweinsteiger around £20 million and player is also thought to be interested in the move after failing to hold on a regular berth for the Bundesliga champions under Pep Guardiola. It was Louis van Gaal who switched the 29-year-old from a winger to a defensive midfielder during his time as Bayern boss and shares a close relation with the star midfielder.

#4 Juventus close in on Drogba and Sanchez

Juventus are close to completing deals for Galatasaray striker Didier Drogba and Barcelona attacker Alexis Sanchez. Drogba has reportedly agreed a two-year deal to join the Serie A champions, ruling out a emotional return to Chelsea.

The 36-year-old, who left Stamford Bridge after Champions League triumph in 2012, was linked with a return with the Blues after the arrival of Jose Mourinho. Drogba scored 15 goals in 37 games for Galatasaray this season.

While, Liverpool and Man United target Alexis Sanchez is also said to be on the verge of joining Juventus in a £16 million deal. Reports claim that the Chilean has rejected a move to Man United for Champions League football in Turin.

#5 Chelsea eye double swoop for Real Madrid pair

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is planning to negotiate a double swoop move for Real Madrid duo Luka Modric and Rafael Varane.Real Madrid are poised to make a £27 million bid for Blues’ midfielder Ramires.

Despite Mourinho insisting that the Brazilian is not for sale, the Chelsea boss is reportedly willing to sell the 27-year-old in an exchange double swap deal for Modric and Varane. Modric is said to be a long term target for Chelsea and with David Luiz sold to Paris Saint Germain for an initial fee of £42 million, Mourinho seeks defensive reinforcements and wants reunion with Real Madrid defender Rafael Varane.

The French centre back was almost a regular starter under Mourinho at the Spanish capital but has struggled under new Real boss Carlo Ancelotti.
