#10 Call Of Duty 3

This game was the worst edition of the COD franchise and, probably, the developers realized it with its conception. Therefore, it was never released for the PC platform.

Starting from no killcam, real radar or minimap to the lack of less scripted quick-time events, this game had a series of errors in its conception. And yes, the cherry on the cake was the fact that it was based on the same WW II storyline. Absolutely no change to it. BORING!!!

#9 Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

The expectations of the Modern Warfare sub-franchise weighed down on this edition as it proved to be an extremely bad, if not the worst, game of the COD franchise as a whole.

There was no refinement to the product as the game left nothing to be remembered about, especially in the multiplayer mode which remained the same. A true drab of a game as it looked to outdo itself and fell flat on its back, consequently.

#8 Call of Duty: World At War

In brief, this game’s action is so random that there’s a possibility that a weaker opponent may defeat an experienced gamer over and over. Even the star power of Kiefer Sutherland in the game couldnt save it from becoming a disgrace to the franchise.

A design decision to allow hordes of dogs to kill a gamer’s enemies in multiplayer mode just explains one of the many faults that Treyarch had in making this game go back to the original WW II storyline when Modern Warfare II had worked like a charm for them.

Just an year before this game was released, Medal of Honor: Frontline hit the gaming shelves for Playstation 2 and one couldn’t help but see COD as being a mere shadow to this game.

The emphasis on the soldier’s experience during WW II instead of the generic man’s experience in such situations grabbed the attention of many but MOH removed it with its gameplay. Though the subsequent editions of this franchise have improved much on the original, the direction of the original is still followed in COD games.

#6 Call of Duty: Black Ops II

This edition continued the Zombies mode with a similar addition of a multiplayer mode called Tranzit which provided some heavily intense survival moments. Also, it continued the Alex Mason storyline, including a focus on his son David in the year 2025.
