As the year is coming to an end, we have had a lot of games that got us interested, got us glued onto our phones and tablets. Some of the games have been disappointing, but some have created a big impact. We analysed the year’s best games recently and now let’s have a look at the top 10 games of 2014 for the mobile phones.

For all the Jules Verne fans, you were in for a treat this year. 80 days, one of the greatest novels is now in your hands. It is a game which will find you accounting for transport, luggage and other “it could happen” problems. #2 The Banner Saga
The Banner Saga was a superhit when it was released for PC. The same game is out for phones and tablets. The game is inspired by the Norse mythology. The game’s features are those of close combat and striking art style. Players can divide their time into playing and dialogue decisions as well. The mobile version is the same as the PC version and there’s no reason not to recommmend it for the phones.

It finds the essence of the idea and a good alternative means of presenting/executing on it”.
Hitman GO is a turn-based puzzle game with beautifully rendered diorama-style set pieces. You will strategically navigate fixed spaces on a grid to avoid enemies and take out your target or infiltrate well-guarded locations. You really have to think about each move and all the Hitman tools of the trade you would expect are included; disguises, distractions, sniper rifles and even 47’s iconic Silverballersxx. It’s a Christmas special game and is available for Android and iOS platforms.
#8 Monument Valley
With Monument Valley, developer Ustwo brought the spirit of M.C. Escher's work to life. Players navigate a tiny princess through an aesthetically twisted world by tapping, touching or dragging different parts of each level.
Monument Valley is a surreal exploration through fantastical architecture and impossible geometry. #9 Pokmon TCG Online
The creators of Pokémon TCG Online wanted to solve a fairly obvious, fairly difficult problem: Players need other people to play with. Thus, the iOS-friendly version of the popular trading card game was born. TCG Online is updated frequently, easy to use and it allows you to easily play against friends and strangers alike.
It may not be the Pokémon you're craving on a mobile platform, but it does scratch a specific itch. It is the first Pokémon game of the MMOTCG (massively-multiplayer online trading card game) genre. The game originally released on March 24, 2011 as browser-based game but became a downloadable game in 2012 for PC and Mac. An iPad client was added in September 2014.
#10 Thomas was alone
Already a hit on browsers, PCs and consoles, Thomas Was Alone brought its solitude to iOS this year too. And while a platform game where you play a rectangle called Thomas might not sound appetising, this is a lovely piece of work. This game was on the top 10 games of all time on the handheld devices and also one of the most grossing devices for 2014. This game is available for iOS only. So, get this game and have fun on your handheld devices.
