FIFA 15: Top 10 Real Madrid player rating predictions

Despite finishing third in the domestic league, Real Madrid secured their much awaited tenth Champions League title which means higher ratings for most of the players in the team who were crucial in the team’s victorious campaign. #1 Karim Benzema - 86

Karim Benzema enjoyed a pretty fruitful campaign in the 2013-14 season, scoring 27 goals from 56 appearances for Real Madrid, and it is expected that he will be getting an upgrade of at least one point, if not a massive one. Having recently signed a new five-year contract, it is most likely possible that his transfer value in the game will increase by a big margin.

#2 Toni Kroos - 86

Toni Kroos is one of Real Madrid’s newest recruit this season after signing for the Whites for a reported fee of €25 million. Looking back at his performance last season, it is very much possible that he will receiving an upgrade of at least two points, and will peak up to 91. The German playmaker made a total of 54 appearances last season for Bayern Munich and Germany, scoring five goals, and assisting twelve. He helped Bayern Munich to their Bundesliga winning campaign, and Germany in their 2014 FIFA World Cup victory.

#3 James Rodriguez - 86

Like Toni Kroos, James Rodriguez is one of Real’s newest addition to the team, and after his sensational performance in the 2014 FIFA World Cup, it is highly expected that he will be receiving a major upgrade in his ratings. The former Monaco FC player appeared in 50 matches this season, scoring 15 times, and assisting 14 for his teammates. He was awarded the Golden Boot award, thanks to his six goals from five appearances.

Real Madrid skipper Iker Casillas’ ratings are most likely to get a downgrade, given his age, and his recent performances for both Spain and Real Madrid. The player turned 33 this year, and is moving towards the end of his prime career, something that is definitely going to be refelected in his ratings.

Luka Modric was Real Madrid’s best playmaker last season, appearing in 48 matches for the Los Blancos, scoring twice and assisting ten goals. However, statistics are often half-side of the story, and Modric’s influence in the centre for Real is most likely to give him an upgrade of at least two points.

Unlike his team-mate Pepe, Sergio Ramos is enjoying the peak of his career, and is most likely to be rated at 87, being one of the game’s best defenders. Starting in a total of 69 matches last season, Ramos scored on seven occasions, one being an important one against Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League final, a big feat for a defender.

Xabi Alonso will turn 33 during the time when the game releases, and keeping that in mind, along with the fact that he had a mediocre season for Real Madrid, it is highly likely that his ratings will drop in this newest edition of FIFA. The midfielder started 39 matches this season, and only has one assist to his name.

Despite being one of the best wingers in the world, Ángel Di María has a history of being overlooked by FIFA’s rating team. The midfielder started 55 matches last season, scoring 13 and assiting 24 times, a very impressive record in itself. He is most likely getting an upgrade of one point.

We can only speculate about Gareth Bale’s rating as it is highly expected that he will be rated around the 90 mark. The Welsh has started 39 matches last season, scoring 24 goals, and assisting 18, a very impressive statistic for a winger who made his La Liga debut last season.

Unlike the previous years, it is expected that Cristiano Ronaldo will be sharing the same rating as Lionel Messi, if not more. Ronaldo scored a mammoth amount of goals last season, 65 in total, and was the top scorer in both La Liga and the UEFA Champions League.
