No tickets to the World Cup - What are the top Stars up to?

With the World Cup in full flow and the knockout matches proving yet again why time comes to a halt every four years, there are some players who should have been playing out there but are not able to due to reasons like injuries, being snubbed and the saddest one- their teams not making it through the qualifiers despite them being the football stars and fan-darlings. But all of them are dealing with the unimaginable pain of not being a part of the greatest spectacle their game has to offer in some or the other way. I wonder how difficult it must be for these players to watch their lesser known club-football team-mates play and realize that they can’t be a part of the action, for it’s once in four years that most football fans forget club rivalries and unite to relish the experience that is World Cup. Let’s take a sneak peak at what’s going on in the lives of these unfortunate players:

#1 Samir Nasri

Most people believe that he was infamously snubbed by the French manager Deschamps and his girlfriend was not one to shy off from being vocal about her feelings. She reportedly tweeted 'F*** France and f*** Deschamps!' when Nasri was ignored. Nasri, on the other hand chose a different path- he preferred to drown his disappointments in parties. The Manchester City star celebrated his 27th birthday in Los Angles and by the looks of it, he and his girlfriend seem to be enjoying their time together. One look at his hot girlfriend and we’re sure that most people would consider his exclusion a lucky thing to happen to anyone.

#2 Alvaro Morata

Though Morata is not very high up the Spanish pecking order, still fans and pundits believe that he should have been included in the squad; but he sure found a way to get over the disappointment for not making it. He posted a photo of him enjoying his summer break with his friends on a yacht. Anyway, it’s not the end of the road for him as he is still quite young and considering how he’s going, he’ll surely make it to the Spanish squad for the next World Cup.

#3 Zlatan Ibrahimovic

‘“A World Cup without me is not worth watching.” We have never agreed with Zlatan more. The Swede has a charisma of his own and lights up the football field whenever he’s in it. Anyway, that was not to happen so king Zlatan made up his mind to light up New York with his incredibly hot wife and two children instead.

#4 Radamel Falcao

He missed out on playing for Columbia on account of injury but he was seen in Madrid recently. It seems interesting considering that there are rumours that Real Madrid is about to bid to acquire the services of the Colombian striker who remains one of the deadliest finishers in the game currently.

#5 Gareth Bale

Multitudes of fans are upset over not being able to feast their eyes upon their star Bale’s daring runs and amazing skills in this world cup. But that seems to be a rosy dream as Wales are nowhere near qualifying for the world cup anytime soon and Bale would have to settle with not being able to play in an World Cup. But he’s enjoying his time off after his splendid season and went to Wales to inaugurate a primary school in his hometown. After that he filmed a commercial for BT Sports.
