Heyman and Lesnar- The Greatest AllianceThe Beast Incarnate hasn’t missed a step since his return to the WWE. Most of his feuds have been spectacular except that one with Goldberg, which the sooner forgotten the better. All of his appearances mean something. And now, he has rekindles his long drawn feud with The Undertaker. Summerslam promises to be another match that will leave its imprints.Lesnar doesn’t have a shortage of great feuds during his journey from being the ‘Next Big Thing’ to being the ‘Beast Incarnate’. . He’s someone who’s been consistently well booked, except when he speaks. He can’t work a promo masterfully. Anyway...Here is a list of the best feuds in Lesnar’s WWE career-
#6 Honorable mentions
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Big Show
Back when Lesnar first came to the WWE, it was not every day that that audience witnessed somebody slaying a giant like The Big Show. Their battles showed Lesnar’s tremendous strength. Who could forget that Smackdown episode where Lesnar suplexed Big Show from the top rope and the original instance where the ring collapsed?
CM Punk
This was a dream match that came true- two Paul Heyman guys battling each other. They competed in the best match of 2013 at Summerslam. Lesnar won following an F-5 on a steel chair. It was a match that lived up to its reputation and all the expectations riding behind it.
#5 Undertaker
This feud has been more momentous in Lesnar’s career than any other feud. By momentous, I mean all the milestones that have come The Beast Incarnate’s way through this.
After defeating The Rock at Summerslam in 2002, Lesnar began a feud with The American Badass which eventually led to a very bloddy match at No Mercy. Even Paul Heyman wasn’t spared.
Undertaker was also the last man eliminated by Lesnar to win the 2003 Royal Rumble.
And who could ever forget the one in twenty two and one?
#4 The Rock
This is the feud that actually cemented his legacy from the ‘Next Big Thing’ to being THE big thing. He played the monstrous heel and Rock played the veteran champion- one of the biggest stars in the company who also happened to be a babyface. It didn’t seem like a battle between equals. WWE actually managed to make Rock look like an underdog in front of this rookie. And Lesnar actually, in all his heel fervor, defeated The Rock with an F-5 to become the youngest WWE Champion I history. Cole put it succinctly ‘Brock Lesnar has climbed the mountain in 5 short months. This monster is on top of the world.’
#3 Eddie Guerrero
A David Vs Goliath battle in its true essence. Lesnar who’s conquered the likes of Hulk Hogan, The Undertaker, The Rock, Ric Flair and Big Show couldn’t and wouldn’t take Eddie Guerrero. The ever charming and humble Guerrero agreed with Lesnar saying that even he wouldn’t take himself seriously.
But then he began a heartfelt promo about overcoming his demons and that Lesnar was another one of his obstacles that he will overcome. Just when you thought that Guerrero was just another step towards Lesnar’s feud with Brock Lesnar, you were right and wrong. Right because, yes, Goldberg did interfere but wrong because Guerrero did overcome that demon in one of the most loved, feel good championship matches ever.
#2 John Cena
Cena and Lesnar began their WWE careers together. While Lesnar became the WWE Champion in a short span of time, Cena was just trying to make just about any impression. Cena began a gangster gimmick where we always saw him rapping his way to the ring.
His feud with Lesnar always ended up in a losing effort. He even named his own finisher ‘FU’ after Lesnar’s ‘F-5’ but he just couldn’t overcome the Beast.
Fast Forward it to 2012 when Lesnar made his spectacular return to WWE and gave Cena an F-5. Cena wasn’t the ‘Word Life’ rapper from 2003, he was now the biggest draw the company has. That’s a mammoth rise in the ranks of the company.
Cena overcame the odds and defeated Lesnar in his first match in the WWE in 8 years after being dominated for the majority of the match.
But then came Summerslam and Cena was decimated. Squashed, actually.
The Cenation leader has conquered everyone but he just can’t figure out, after all these years, how to conquer the beast.
#1 Kurt Angle
Two legit athletes faced off each other numerous times. This, till date, remains the best feud of Lesnar’s career. Both of them in reality and in fiction have tremendous respect for each other. That made their contests even more important.
Who can forget that botched Shooting Star Press that made Lesnar forget his own championship victory over Angle moments later in the main event of Wrestlemania 19, due to a concussion?
Every match that they’ve had are probably the best matches of Lesnar’s career.
