The Demon trying to kill the Deadman? Now, that’s a brilliant plot! Now all us adept WWE fans are very conscious about some nasty family rivalry or the other taking place every now and then in the big bad world of wrestling. Concocted storylines jammed with bad blood among the closest kin and fickle semblance is the perfect blueprint to a successful WWE event. Believe it or not, but this overly repetitive storyline is a great angle, that most of the time, make up for a descending plot and replaces it with a rather compulsive manoeuvre to look forward to. And what more can a crazy WWE fan ask for?
Well, of course, a comeback match between the Rock and Steve Austin is always on the wish list but that seems like a dream too far, so for now, we’ll help you focus on the top 5 onscreen family feuds that legitimize the sheer power of an effective angle in the WWE storylines.

#5 The shocking Bella twins feud.
There has never been a more shocking feud between family members than the Bella Twins controversy. It all started when Brie Bella challenged Stephanie McMahon for a match at SummerSlam 2014 after entering into an altercation with her while signing the contract when Triple H held Brie back and Stephanie ended up beating Nikki. It was, however, unfortunate that Brie got beaten up by Stephanie at SummerSlam.
It was only after the event when Nikki Bella turned heel on Brie that led to a lot of hullabaloos before Nikki explained that it was actually Brie who has been betraying her from childhood. She even released a video about the same, the truth, where she called Brie a jealous, conniving and self-centred person.
Nikki went on blasting at Brie until she was finally confronted by the latter and eventually they started working on their damaged relationship.
With time, the matter settled and the sisterhood prevailed.
#4 The entertaining Edge and Christian story
Not family but real-life best friends, they both have been more like brothers till this day. The golden boys from the Attitude Era, Edge and Christian gave us some pretty darn good tag team matches from their time against the beloved Hardy Boyz and Dudley Boyz and many others.
It was after Edge won the King of the Ring tournament that he attracted much more attention towards him than his real-life best friend and tag team brother, and after weeks of a split tease, Christian ignited the feud and turned against Edge during September 2001.
It was a brilliant angle when both competed for Edge’s Intercontinental Championship for a few months. Edge, however, rose to solo stardom until he had to retire from the WWE following his injury.
#3 The charismatic Hardy Boyz launching into thin air
Team Xtreme hit the main roster in the mid-1998, as the Hardy Boyz, along with Matt’s then-girlfriend Lita and truly, they became one of the best tag teams of all time. However, as time accelerated, Jeff’s star rose faster and shone brighter than that of Matt, who on the other hand, was much better in the technicality of wrestling.
Jeff became more popular following his feud with the Undertaker that grabbed him the opportunity to enter into an Intercontinental title match in 2003. Things started getting rough from there and it was in early 2009 that their reconciled partnership totally ended. While Jeff was already wrestling in main events, it was too much for Matt to take in.
He was tired of being sidelined by his brother and there came a time when Matt’s actions cost Jeff his WWE title by turning heel on him and that was the end of what could have been one of the most successful tag teams of all time.
#2 The complicated combat between the Undertaker and Kane
The long and confusing brawl between the ‘Brothers of Destruction’ has come a long way from the time when Glenn ‘Kane’ Jacobs ripped the cell door off and crushed Mark ‘The Undertaker’ Callaway amid the latter’s on-going Hell in a Cell fight with Shawn Michaels.
The most dominant tag team partners turned hostile to each other probably because of Kane’s fluctuating madness that turned him heel on his successful half-brother and then the Demon’s punishing offence during the beginning or end of the matches often shifted the focus from the elder brother. And this sibling rivalry gave a boost to their wrestling careers.
There’s just no other rivalry in the WWE history that matches with the long war that hasn’t ever been completely buried. How unbecoming is that of the Undertaker?
#1 The great and lofty McMahons
The 2016 return of Shane O’ Mac on Monday Night Raw clearly made the fans go crazy, especially when he claimed to have what he thinks rightfully belongs to him. While the ‘wonder boy of the WWE’ left the company to become the CEO of a multi-million dollar media company, Stephanie and Triple H gained full control of the WWE.
His return sure did rise up the otherwise dull ratings of the show, it also brought focus to the times the arrogant, high and mighty McMahon family got into stabbing each others’ backs, of course, for growing the business. From Stephanie slapping her own mom to Vince disowning his own son, this family just keeps getting better at this fierce candidacy.
