Top 5 WWE Money in the Bank contenders

One of WWE’s high stakes match, the Money in the bank is going to be served for the fans soon and as always the buzz around the match is touching the skies. When the pay-per-view finally comes across, one wrestler is going to get a great push that might change the course of his career. The expectations are high as far as the match is concerned and the company is yet to confirm the contestants for the match. From the current landscape of the WWE, there are some favorites to walk out of the pay-per-view with the briefcase and probably the push of his life. So here is a look at those top 5 contenders who could win the Money in the Bank.

#5 Seth Rollins

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

After splitting up with the Shield and ending up aligning with Evolution, Seth Rollins is clearly on the path to become a singles superstar.

Though the most likely scenario for Rollins is a feud with Shield, he could just end up getting the luxuries of being part of the authority which will give him a spot in the Money in the bank match or even help him to win it.

Rollins carrying the briefcase alongside Hunter and Orton also increases the chance of friction between the group since Orton is still to get his title shot. At the same time this opens up the possibility of Rollins being able to feud with Daniel Bryan with is mouthwatering to say the least.

#4 Bad News Barrett

Barrett is having one of the most successful phases in his career in terms of in ring action and the momentum.

His intercontinental title has been challenged by the lights of Rob Van Dam and Cesaro at the time but it’s most likely that all three gets into the Money in the Bank match. Some might argue against Barrett holding both the title and the briefcase but on the long run its going to reward everyone.

WWE could well end up having Barrett in the main event scene after this angle. In the current situation the main event scene is lacking the crowd and Barrett truly deserves to be there as well.

#3 Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt claimed that he was reborn after the last man standing match that he had with John Cena at Payback. Though what he meant is still a mystery, his feud with John Cena might well be over.

There aren’t many other opportunities left for Bray Wyatt in the roster, and Money in the bank match is the best direction that he could have now. WWE could also let Cena into the match with Bray if they want to stretch the feud and have more star power.

Till now, the company has shown Bray as someone who doesn’t care about the result of the match or titles. But the “reborn” statement would make a lot of sense if Bray decides to go behind the stakes rather than trying to send messages.

#2 Cesaro

Winning the Andre the Giant battle royal and having Paul Heyman by his side is apparently not enough for Cesaro.

Heyman recently pointed out that he is making Cesaro a main event star at his own pace. And WWE could just give Heyman some highly inflammable fuel in form of Money in the Bank victory.

This could be the best push that Cesaro could get now as having a midcard title on him would only restrict the growth. By winning the briefcase, Cesaro could easily be a grenade eager to explode and when he does, he is sure to have the top price in his hands.

And with that, Heyman could also rant saying his client Cesaro won the Money in the Bank.

#1 John Cena

For all the Cena haters out there: this might be one of those times where you’d wish that Cena was signed by TNA when he was younger.

No matter what the company does with Cena and no matter how far he is pushed down in the card, the title and the spotlight belongs to Cena. He has spent and awkwardly ridiculous time in the midcard and its time for Cena to bounce back.

His feud with Bray Wyatt has almost burned out by now and WWE doesn’t have many main eventers who are ready to feud with Cena.

So having him win the Money in the Bank and get a lot of heat from crowd could help him work an angle with Daniel Bryan for the title.
