The title everyone wishes to haveThe WWE has lots of talent on the main roster right now, with even more waiting in NXT. Yet there are several superstars who are seemingly floating in meaningless feuds, with no championship gold in their sights. They need a title reign to legitimize their standing and talent in the WWE, as these days that works wonders in skyrocketing a star to the top, which in the case of Rollins holds true. Here are 5 who need a title:
#1 Cesaro
The "Swiss Superman" was on a huge upward swing after an Open Challenge match against John Cena that led to a fantastic feud with Kevin Owens.
But really, that isn't enough. The knock against Cesaro for a while was that he lacked charisma and a connection with fans, but the "Cesaro Section" at every arena proves that theory wrong. It's way past time that the WWE ended his more than two-year singles title drought.
#2 Rusev
Rusev burst onto the WWE main roster as an unbeatable foreigner who put a stranglehold on the United States belt and anyone who challenged him for it.
Then came John Cena. Everyone's favorite, or least favorite, face of the company took Rusev's unbeaten record and his title, and now Rusev is mired in a love triangle/rectangle story with Dolph Ziggler, Lana, and Summer Rae. He should be the ultimate heel to hold a belt and boost whoever eventually beats him, and should be treated as such.
#3 Kevin Owens
He's only been on the main roster for a few months, but Kevin Owens has made a splash in feuds with John Cena and Cesaro.
Yet without the NXT title that he brought up with him for a while, his act as a prize fighter who leaves when a match doesn't interest him doesn't make much sense. However, he's really good at that character, so for now, putting the Intercontinental or U.S. belt on him is a great idea.
#4 Bray Wyatt
#5 Roman Reigns
It's really hard to believe that, in the second half of 2015, Roman Reigns has never held a singles title. Part of that is because he was perhaps rushed into the world title mix, only to lose his shot at the belt when Seth Rollins cashed in.
But what Reigns really needs right now is to prove himself against new opponents in matches that matter, and a run with any of the company's singles belts, including the world title, would do that.
