Movies and injuries have deprived the WWE Universe from seeing massive dream matchesWWE is trying to gather 100,000+ fans at this years’s WrestleMania and as of now the card looks alright. According to reports, ticket sales do not indicate whether they will be able to achieve this goal. Unfortunately, most of the matches were not on the cards, as WWE's original plans needed to be changed with several top stars getting injured.Today, we will look at the 5 matches, we thought were going to happen at WrestleMania 32, each match having the potential to draw massive numbers of fans and figures from all around the world.Honourable mentions:Ronda Rousey vs Stephanie McMahonBrock Lesnar vs Kevin Owens/Bray Wyatt
#5 Shield Triple Threat
A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE
Since their debut, fans have been speculating a triple threat match between the trio. 2015 was the year, that saw the three Shield members feature in the WWE Title picture and headline almost every pay per view.
The entire year, Seth, Dean and Roman were involved in chasing the top gold of the company. This led to a bigger expectation that Seth vs Dean vs Roman will headline WrestleMania 32. Unfortunately, this idea had to rubbed off when Seth got injured. It didn’t happen this year but who knows, it may be next year’s main event!
#4 Rock vs Triple H
This match was speculated to happen ever since WrestleMania 31. In this event, we saw Triple H and Stephanie McMahon being interrupted by the Rock and then UFC Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey, during a promo.
There were 2 other segments apart from this one, that hinted these 2 legendary icons of WWE may square off sometime in the future. WrestleMania will be the perfect platform to feature these two icons’s collision with each other. Unfortunately for the fans, due to The Rock signing a ‘not-wrestling’ clause, this idea had to be nullified
#3 Triple H vs Seth Rollins
In 2014, Seth ‘bought in’ to the Authority by turning on his Shield brothers Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns. Ever since then, Seth has been an Authority guy. Since mid-2015, problems started arising between Seth and his mentor Triple H.
Though it didn’t conclude in a rivalry, several fans wanted Seth to leave the Authority and to be on his own with the WWE title. Even this match was planned to happen at last year’s SummerSlam and then on Survivor Series. Unfortunately, it didn’t happen and as Seth got injured in November, it had to be cancelled.
#2 The Undertaker vs John Cena
This doesn’t need any explanation on the magnitude of the said match. Fans started speculating about the match since it was rumored that Undertaker was going to retire after WrestleMania. There were even talks within the company that The Undertaker may square off against Cena at WrestleMania 32.
Two legends, two icons, possibly the 2 biggest names in WWE history squaring off would have been “Best for Business”. Again, this plan had to be cancelled with Cena getting injured in December last year. Who knows, if Undertaker agrees to work another match at WrestleMania 33, we may see this match then!!
#1 Sting vs The Undertaker
The biggest star of WCW facing the Biggest star of WWE! This has been a dream match for ages! Ages!!! With Sting debuting in WWE in 2014, fans started dream about this match once again.
It didn’t happen at WrestleMania 31, as Sting was scheduled to face Triple H. Social media outlets were flooded with posts depicting people who want to see this match. This match could have happened, but with Sting getting injured at Night of Champions 2015, the idea had to be nixed.
With Sting being inducted in Hall Of Fame 2016, this will remain as everyone's dream WrestleMania match unless WWE pulls a rabbit out of the hat. We beg you to surprise us!
