Before Vince got the company from his father, he owned a Hockey team.

He was promoting events in the Cape Cod Coliseum in Massachusetts that he leased soon; he brought out the Cape Cod Buccaneers that played in Atlantic Coast Hockey League.

McMahon was hell bound in making the team a success but unfortunately, the team went on a losing spree and the idea bombed. He then had the idea of starting a Boby Building Federation which also suffered the same faith.

Another major failure of Vince was the XFL. With XFL, Vince tried to have a new footballing league in the market, but it ended up as a nightmare for him.
