The Swiss SupermanThe Swiss superman, currently on shelf due to a shoulder injury, is arguably one of the best wrestlers on the main roster. His athleticism, sheer strength and in ring abilities makes him belong in the top tier.He is hugely over with the fans as evident by the weekly growing loud reactions by the members of the Cesaro Section. Yet, time and time again he has found himself stepped over by other superstars with far less abilities than his own.His career has been a hell of a roller coaster ride, which has seen many ups and downs. Somehow, even after all the capabilities that he possesses, all the brilliant matches he has produced, he has not been able to break through the glass ceiling called the WWE brass.Whether he can turn the tide in his favour on his return is yet to be seen. Here are 4 possible ways to bring back Cesaro into spotlight and give him the main event run that he so rightly deserves.
#1 Joining the Authority
Ever since Seth Rollins injured himself, the authority is in need of another guy to fill the void left by Rollins. Sure Sheamus looks to be the man replacing Rollins but he has formed his own stable called “The League of Nations”, which can keep him busy for the time being.
Triple H even teased an association with Cesaro in a backstage segment. Cesaro perfectly fits in the scenario. It will add a new shade to his character.
Indeed he will be playing a heel but imagine the endless opportunities waiting for him. He can even feud with Rollins when Rollins returns.
The alliance with the authority has benefitted superstars like Randy Orton and Seth Rollins and it can surely do the same for Cesaro.
#2 A Championship Run
A run with the WWE World Heavyweight Championship will instil a new life into Cesaro’s career. For this to happen he needs to rack up a few wins and establish himself as a worthy contender.
He needs to look as a legitimate threat to the World title. Cesaro fans will definitely love it. It will also see a new face holding the title, which has been dominated by the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton etc.
Or else he can have a run with the Intercontinental championship. Albeit it doesn’t carry the same prestige as the World title but still it has helped numerous stars in the past to reignite their standstill careers.
Guys like Dolph Ziggler, Dean Ambrose, Ryback to name a few have all held this valuable championship and Cesaro should also have a chance with it.
#3 A match against Brock Lesnar
This one seems a long shot but it has an appealing story behind it.
Cesaro was poised for big things when he associated himself with Paul Heyman. Anybody who knows about Paul Heyman knows what all he can bring to the table.
But their association didn’t bear the desired outcome. Part of the reason was Heyman’s association with Brock Lesnar, which overshadowed Cesaro at every turn.
Imagine Cesaro blaming Heyman for deserting him and calling out Brock Lesnar for revenge. There is no question about the quality of their match as both the superstars are highly talented. And with Heyman in the mix this can become the feud of the year.
A win over the Beast Incarnate will instantly catapult him as the top guy but even if he loses he will gets the right exposure. A strong showing against Lesnar can make him shine even in defeat.
#4 A feud with Vince Mcmahon
Just like the previous one, this too has an appealing back story stemming from the comments made by Mr Mcmahon about Cesaro when he appeared on the very first Stone Cold Podcast.
His incendiary remarks about Cesaro not making a connection with the audience and lacking the “it” factor did not go down well with the WWE universe.
It can become the perfect cannon fodder for Cesaro where he sets out to prove that he has the “it” factor and Mr Mcmahon playing the evil boss who just doesn’t let him do that.
Imagine Cesaro getting a title shot only to be taken away from him by Mr Mcmahon because he doesn’t believe that Cesaro has what it takes and Cesaro proving him wrong by winning the championship.
What a moment that would be for Cesaro and all his fans alike.
